Chapter 10 - Group Project

Author's POV

Sizhui reached college rather early as he has some assignments he has to submit for his other classes. After submitting them he was walking towards his first class while humming a song.

"Sizhui... you came early..." sizhui heard someone calling him and he looked towards the source of that voice he saw song Jiang standing there waving his hands to him as soon as their eyes met. Sizhui smiled and then walked to ward him.

"Hello.. Jiang ge... I have some assignments to submit for my regular classes.. so I decided to come early..." sizhui said.

"Oh... wanna come along? I am going to get some coffee before class.. we still have half an hour left..." sing Jiang said. Sizhui nodded and then started walking with Jiang towards the cafeteria.

"Are you sure we will make it on time to class after coffee...?" sizhui couldn't help but ask. He knew if they are late professor yu sujin will skin them alive.

"Ďont worry.. it is fine since our college cafeteria coffee is too small.. it will only take two or three sips and the baam... the coffee is over... so come along..." Jiang shrugged his shoulders and kept on walking. They started talking about their classes and life the whole time they finished the coffee. As they were immersed in their conversation they forgot about the class.

"Song Jiang... why are you here... the class will start in 5 minutes..." Xue yang said. Jiang and sizhui stopped their conversation and checked the time to find that Xue Yang was telling the truth. They gathered their things hurriedly and dashed towards the class. When the reached the class with a half a minute to spare three of them were breathing heavily and all the class was looking at them funny. Without missing a beat professor yu sujin also arrived. Three of them excused themselves and sat down on their respective seats. Yu sujin looked at them incredulously and the sighed.

"Good morning class.. I have an important announcement to make. We have decided on a group project.. you can select any subject for your painting and you can select any style... I am gonna leave that decision to you. But what we need are two painting which should be connected to single subject. For this you can have one week to complete and can paint more than two pieces also."

"Professor.. how the group is going to be..?" Li Xian asked.

"Nice question which I was about to answer already.." sujin gave him a 'are you serious look'.

"Okay...it will be a group of two... and before you think like you can become a group with your beat buddy or something.. let me rain down on your parade... I am choosing the team.." he said and then taken out 20 pens from his bag. Those where identical pens with a white external body. Everyone looked at that curiously and but stayed silent since they dont want to be met with the fury of their professor.

"Everyone come and select one pen and even though it looks similar but the ink is different those who got same ink pen will be in the same team. I have asked the principal to lend us the small indoor auditorium so that you can have more space where you can work in peace." Yu sujin said and then the students came and selected one pen. Like yu sujin said even though the pen looked identical, the ink color was different.

Xiao zhan took his pen and drawn a line in his book to find it was light blue color.

"Mine is light blue..." he raised his hands and announced in a hope to find his project partner.

"Mine also.. xiao ge..." sizhui let xiao zhan see the line he made with his pen.

"I guess then.. you are my partner... let's do our best..." xiao zhan smiled.

"Yeah.. since our style is somewhat similar yet distinct I guess we can make something good." Sizhui smiled.

"I am looking forward to paint with you sizhui..." xiao zhan gave his bunny smile to sizhui.
