Author's POV
Xiao Zhan was about to set out for his next work that he had in seoul when he got a call from his sister. It was rather sudden since he already told her that he will be busy and it is not in the character of hers to disturb him in between if it is not of absolute urgency. This knowledge itself made him anxious when he received the call.
"Jiejie.. what happened..?" Xiao Zhan asked without any preample.
"A'Zhan.. A'Cheng.. he got into an accident.. He is in the hospital right now and we are heading there right now..."
As soon as he heard the news xiao zhan didnt know what to do or say. After a short pause he managed to find his voice and said.
"Dont worry jiejie. He will be fine.. I am coming.. okay.. dont worry.." he disconnected the call and then clutched the phone in his hands.
"A'Cheng... my brother..." xiao zhan said while closing his eyes. All he can see was the tear stained face of his brother Jiang Cheng when they were forced to leave yunmeng during the wen clan attack. Jiang Cheng was his brother and they grew up together. Even though they weren't blood related and they bickered like crazy and always competed amongst each other especially for the attention from their sister, they were close and they will do anything for the other person and always stand like a wall infront each other to save them from any harm. Jiang Cheng even though he was a grumpy Pomeranian by nature, xiao zhan knew he loved him and xiao zhan did the same. He loved him enough to sacrifice his golden core for his brother. In this life also their dynamic remained the same, but in this life they are blood related. Xiao zhan can feel the tears escaping from his closed eyes, he took a deep breath and opened his eyes with nre determination. He need to be strong for his sister and for that first and foremost he need to reach home fast. He called his friends and informed them that he is going back. Thankfully he didnt unpacked much so he got together his luggage and then left for the airport after booking the ticket to Beijing on the earliest flight.
He moved on an auto pilot mode throughout the fight and the taxi to the hospital. It was night time when he reached there. Coming to an hospital just made him realize again that his brother is now in the hospital after the accident. He asked the receptionist about Jiang cheng and since it was past visitors time, they asked him to come tomorrow. Xiao zhan wanted to cry or may be he did cry that time, he didn't remember he only saw the way the kind receptionist defense crumbled and with a sigh she pointed towards the direction of the ICU where his brother is currently under observation. Xiao zhan thanked the receptionist and with hurried strides he walked towards the direction. His heart was beating fast and he can even hear his own heart beat thumping in his ears. He didnt call his sister, so he doesnt know whether she is in the waiting area or not. He knew cant see his brother right now.. but he desperately needed someone to yell me that his brother is going to be alright..
As soon as he reached near the ICU, his eyes wandered towards the waiting area and he saw the familiar figure there.
"Sizhui... how is A'Cheng..." her asked his words are laced with naked worry.
"Wei ge..." after noticing the presence of xiao zhan sizhui ran towards him and hugged him.
"Ge... you came.. how come... ? You were in Seoul right...?" sizhui asked.
"Yeah.. jiejie called me and told me about the incident.. how can I stay back when I k ow my shidi is in hospital.. are they alright?" xiao zhan asked.
"Yeah.. doctor said their conditions are stable and they are just keeping them inside for observation.. tomorrow if everything is alright.. they will be shifted to rooms.. aunt lu.. I mean lu jie and yuchen ge came and did the paper work for uncle Jiang.. I mean zhuocheng and jin ling..." sizhui said.
