San walked out of the last meeting he had that morning. He checked his phone, still no calls from Mina. It was her third day outside of the country and he had no idea how she was. He would call but he was the one to hold grudges for a long time.
He took a look at his watch. It was almost lunch time, meaning he had to leave the office in order to get to Wooyoung's shop on time.
- Jongho, I'll be out of the office for a while. Make sure to clear my agenda, I don't know if I'll be back. - San grabbed his car keys, heading outside.
- Understood sir, have a good rest of the day. - Jongho proceeded to work on San's agenda.
On his way he ordered some fried chicken, he thought Wooyoung would enjoy something simple. Once he grabbed the food he drove off to the boutique. The traffic was crazy, he hoped he made it on made. He wasn't trying to get a second strike with Wooyoung. Around 12:20pm he parked in front of the boutique, getting out of the car with his hands full. Seonghwa kindly opened the door for him, helping him with the bags.
- Hi! Is Wooyoung around? We were meeting here for lunch. -
- He is. Let me go get him for you, he's probably in his office. - Seonghwa walked to the back of the store, looking for his boss. San tried preparing one of the tables in the entrance of the store. He bought a lot of food, he hoped Wooyoung enjoyed some of it.
- What are you doing here? What's all this? - Wooyoung entered the room looking at the amount of food San placed on one of his designer tables.
- I said I would bring lunch to you, remember? - San stood up with a smile on his face.
- But I already ate... - Wooyoung felt bad instantly. The smile in San's face disappeared, he also lowered his head a little.
- Well, that's too bad. I'm sorry, I should have called. - He lowered his voice, almost sounding like a whisper. He sat back down to put everything back in its bag.
Wooyoung felt terrible. San was a great looking man but he also felt that he was being played by him.
- But you didn't ask if I had dessert... - Wooyoung sat next to him. - Is that cheesecake? -
- Oh, yeah. I brought you a slice. I didn't know if you would like it. - San lightened up a bit.
- Are you kidding? I love cheesecake. - Wooyoung grabbed the plate to take a bite. San, on the other hand, grabbed some chicken and devoured it.
They made some small talk while they ate. San shared a little bit of his job, how he met Mingi and how he loved California better than Korea. Wooyoung was mesmerized, San was such a well spoken person. Every now and then Wooyoung would get distracted by the numerous tattoos San had around his arms. Who would have thought he's a well recognized lawyer?
- But what about you? Have you always worked as a designer? - San asked as he took a piece of the cheesecake that Wooyoung decided to share.
- Actually no. Back in Korea I was a professional dancer but during my time backstage I discovered I was more interested in clothing and creating new things. -
- You have a great taste. Mingi told me about how you have dressed people for important events. It must be very fulfilling. - San was now sitting straight on the couch, looking at Wooyoung as he finished his dessert.
- It is actually. I just get overworked and hardly leave my house. - Wooyoung came by himself to California, therefore he spent most of the time by himself at home.
- We need to change that. How about we go out tonight? - San was being insistent, even when it was clear how Wooyoung was treating him.
- Tonight? I was planning on designing some stuff... - Wooyoung lied, he panicked when people made him proposals like this on such a short notice.
- Isn't that what you do every single day? Come on, I'll take you home early. - San grabbed his hand, trying to soften him.
- Okay fine, but only because I could really use a drink. - Wooyoung rolled his eyes, acting hard to get.
- Perfect, then it's a date. - After the words came out of his mouth, San noticed what he just said. He quickly grabbed his car keys, ready to leave.
- Hey! - Wooyoung stopped him at the entrance. - How do you plan to contact me?
- Right. - San laughed nervously. He gave his phone to Wooyoung for him to enter his number and call to save his.
- I'll send you my address. - Wooyoung said as he gave the phone back.
- I'll be waiting. - San winked before exiting the store and leaving on his Mercedez.
