"Hello?" She said tiredly as she put her blonde hair in a bun. She examined the bags under her eyes. "Hey Em. Will you go cover for me today? I do not feel very well."

"Are you alright?" Betty's daughter and Athena's best friend, Emerald's heart rate picked up. "You are never sick."

She sighed. "Five years today Em."

"Oh Hun."

"The memories. The memories won't stop and I refuse to do any surgeries today while my mind is boggled."

"Do you need me to swing by? I'll bring ice cream, and movies." She offered.

"No Em. My wolf is restless, I probably will run and then sleep the day away."

"Okay." Em said laughing to lighten the mood, "What will I say to Roger when he asks about you again?"

Athena blushed. "Make something up but do not let him know I am not feeling well, he will insist on seeing me."

"And that is a problem how? The man has it bad for you girl, I think it is time you've let someone else in."

"I've done nothing to encourage him." She replied groaning.

"That makes it so much more romantic." Em said letting go an exaggerated sigh. "Let Dr.McDreamy nurse your heart back to full health girl, and maybe warm your bed while you're at it."

"Good Goddess Emerald!"

"Ha. Bye Athena, take care and be safe today." She teased before hanging up. Athena sighed smiling slightly before she put her phone down and continued to study herself in the mirror. In the five years since she had left her tribe she has matured even more, though her blue eyes lacked the youthful light they used to. Her blonde hair had also darkened and swept her face to cover the light scar over her eyebrow. It had faded in the five years though recently it began to throb whenever she thought about Elijah.

"Comeon, you are damn near thirty, yet pinning like some school girl." She swore laying down stubbornly refusing to think about him yet failing miserably.

"Let's get married." He said scooping her into his strong arms.

"Married?" She laughed.

"Yes, your mother informed me, rather rudely may I add of your desire to be married since we have to wait years before we mate, I say why not." He grinned and kissed her when he saw the joy in her gaze.

He knelt. "Athena Lupe, will you do the honor of become my 'wife' to have and to hold for the remainder of our days?"

"Yes! Of course." She kissed him and laughed when a loud 'finally' was heard from the other room. In the months that followed they planned a traditional werewolf ceremony with few human tidbits. She wore a white gown and marched down a long pathway that lead to the center of their tribe grinning the whole way at Elijah. His suit was trimmed and perfect for the occasion and she would never forget his words.

"Before the Goddess and all of our family and friend, I Elijah will forever love you. You are key to my soul and the magic that grants my every wish. I love you. I always will." The women cried and even the hardest of men could not help by sigh at the sheer sincerity of the words.

"And yet it all goes to waste." She muttered slipping into a deep slumber.

"Elijah. I desire your full attention!" Vivianne babbled annoyed at her soon to be mate. "I said I want the trip done soon."

He sighed. "What. Trip?" He muttered. His hand brushed over the silver scar that marred his otherwise handsome features. He swept his hair back and observed the brunette before him while his mind strayed to a petite blonde. His wolf grumbled in his chest at his thoughts, never have fully agreed with his decision to ban her.
