"What are you going to do with me?" Nao tried again to free at least one of her wrists from the grip of the rope knots. "Do you really want confirmation of your suspicions?" Woobin was sitting on a chair across from her, legs slightly apart, arms crossed over his chest. "But I must admit that from our observations of you, it didn't appear that you were really that brave" he smirked and moved forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
"Will you at least tell me why I'm going to die?" Nao was too numb to feel anything, not even fear creeping in between the calm beats of her heart. This was the end for her and she had accepted it. Once Wong Woobin had managed to outsmart Kim Seokjin and Bangtan, there was only one way out for her life, but at least she wanted to die learning why. "It's basic, blood for blood, life for life" Woobin shrugged. "Life for life?" she repeated and her eyebrows shot up.
"You see sweetie, your nice dad made mine die and I'm not a very nice person. So an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Trouble is, I don't know when to stop" his maniacal laugh penetrated into Nao's body like a wave of ice and made every fiber freeze and shiver. If this man had ever been normal, that time had long since passed, and now his eyes were shining madly, looking her up and down.
Woobin stood up and approached her, going around behind the chair Nao was tied to. "I don't think the reason you're here is what you need to worry about, sweetie" Nao bristled, feeling his breath in her ear. "And the way you're going to leave this world, because I plan on it being slow, excruciatingly painful and in front of your husband and brother" he trailed his fingers down her neck and she held her breath. His fingers grabbed the necklace Tia had given her and he cut the delicate tangle, which broke easily.
"My necklace...I gave Nao my necklace!" Tia jumped to her feet, wiping away her tears, her eyes locked on Jimin's for a second, they widened and he pulled out his phone. Jin jerked his head up. "Necklace?" Tia looked at him, her face shining with hope. "Jimin gave it to me, it has a tracker in it, in case something happens to me, I gave it to Nao before she left with..." her voice broke and her tears began to flow again. "The old cannery by the lake!" Jin looked at Jin and then at his phone, turning the display towards him.
"Finally" Nao lifted her head and gasped, meeting Woobin's gaze. "They're here, or almost" he crouched and slid his hands down her hips. Her eyes widened in disgust and she gritted her teeth. "Get up, little one, it's time for a show!" he announced, untying her ankles first and then her hands. His fingers dug painfully into her shoulder and Woobin pulled her to her feet, dragging her outside after him.
Nao stumbled, pushed by her captor, as the two approached a small frozen lake, the waters of which were covered with ice here and there. Her eyes darted between the heavily armed Woobin's people surrounding the place, none of them seemed worried or willing to help her, their blank eyes staring at her as if they didn't see her. "This is going to be fun" the man grinned and slapped her hard on the back. Nao flew forward and landed on her knees with a heavy splash in the lake, a few feet from the shore.
The icy water seeped through her clothes directly into her bones, her stiffened body felt the sudden change like millions of blades piercing her flesh and she gasped. Her teeth chattered uncontrollably and her vision began to darken. She tried to stand up, but her wet clothes weighed down and she was left with no strength, her body simply refused to obey. "If you move, you won't see your husband and brother for the last time, sweetie" Woobin giggled behind her and she turned her head, trying to at least regain her breathing.
"You're crazy!" her voice was nothing more than a quavering rattle, but Woobin gave her an offended look. "Oh, you think I'm crazy?" he crouched and blinked at her in surprise. "Honey, you don't know what madness is, but when this lover of yours arrives, you will see what madness is." he shook his head sighing as if he didn't believe her words. "You think Kim Seokjin is a sweet, gentle angel whose heart flutters with love? Now you will see his true self, Kim Nao, you will see the man behind the mask of your beloved husband, as well as Kim Namjoon's" Nao bit her lip, her body getting heavier and heavier and she could no longer feel her fingers and toes.
