"I...I cannot tell the nature of this one's soul. Therefore they are suited for no dormitory."
"Cool. So uh can I go home now?"

Author's note: The music had nothing to do with this but it's spooky month so why not?
The h/c haired girl groaned as they shifted from the position they were laying in only to feel the hard surface of something in front of them. They pushed forward and felt the surface once again, it felt cool under their gloved hand. Instead of panicking, her only thought was how the hell she got there.
Suddenly, she felt another soul signature enter her field, and who or whatever it was seemed to be distressed as they mumbled. She decided to say still and listen to them to see if they could get a clue about where they were other than a dark confined space.
"Gah! People are coming! I have to nab a uniform while I still can." The muffled voice said. Then a few strained grunts were heard. "Why is this lid so darn heavy?" They seemed to give up before speaking again but this time a little farther back. "Time to bust out my secret move." Suddenly, the confinement of which she was in got hot very quickly. Giving no extra thought, the girl quickly kicked the lid and rolled out.
The one who was talking earlier let out a sound of shock. "How-Why are you awake?!" they yelled. Y/n turned to see a...flaming cat? It had black fur with a white patch of fur on its chest area, with bright two shaded blue eyes. Its ears had blue flames coming out and the end of its tail was shaped like a pitchfork. It had a tattered black and white striped bow around its neck.

The e/c eyed girl paid no mind to them after that and instead looked around the room. As far as they could see it was nothing but a large gothic themed space with a bunch of floating coffins. However, the cat did not seem to enjoy being ignored. "Oi! Human. Listen to me when I'm talking to you!"
Y/n tilted their head down to look at the cat. The little light the room had combined with the blank expression on their face made them look more intimidating to the small creature. "Y-you don't intimidate me! I-I am the Great Grim. But that doesn't matter now. Give me your clothes and I won't burn you to a crisp." Grim said cockily as he made a kind of fire barrier behind her. Y/n e/c eyes narrowed. Did this cat just tell them to strip?
"Do you have no shame?" Grim let out a confused sound. "I-wh-Just give me your robes human." Y/n looked down at themselves and sure enough, the clothes they were once wearing were replaced with something else. A black robe with a deep purple color and golden accents. The undershirt was also black with golden accents and a high collar. The inside of the robe was a deep purple with two golden crossed key patterns. There was a purple sash connected with a golden belt buckle as well. [sorry I'm not very good with descriptions]
"No thanks," Y/n said and walked past him. After all, they didn't know if they had actual clothes underneath all this. Grim was too stunned to speak.

The h/c haired girl walked through the unknown place, passing rooms, a beautiful garden, and making it into a large library. "This place is so confusing." She muttered as she lightly picked the stitches under her left eye in irritation. It wasn't because of the floating books around her, no. That was somewhat normal for the girl as the cat witch Blair like to hang around her. However, it was the fact that she could feel multiple soul signatures in the vicinity and they were all witches. With the sheer amount of witch souls here, it would possibly be enough to take over Death City! The thought made her stomach turn.
Then the door behind her was slammed open. They turned around and saw a panting Grim. "You really thought you could get away from the Great Grim? Foolish human!" "Actually, you were foolish to come at me. If a battle is what you want then I can assure you, you will not come out victorious." "Whatever. Give me those robes before I char you-" Girm was cut off as something came from behind and nearly hit him. "Gah? Who's flailing around that rope?!"
"This is no rope. This is a whip of love!" A new voice said. There was a man with short black hair and pale skin wearing a masquerade style black bird mask and a black top hat. Golden lights shone through the eye holes of the mask representing eyes. A white long-sleeved shirt with a black vest, dress pants, gloves, and tie. Over his shoulders was a black coat that was dark blue on the inside and the same blue for the collar and black feathers. [once again, I'm not very good with descriptions ;^^]

The man turned to y/n and placed his hands on his hips with a stern expression. "Finally I've found you. You must be our wayward newcomer." He crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head slightly. "This simply will not do. A student can not simply wander around as they please without supervision and with such an unruly familiar in tow. This is against school policy!" Meanwhile Grim struggled against his restraints. "Let me go. I'm not that dumb human's familiar!" He said. The man looked over at him with a border expression. "Yeah yeah, that's what all the rebellious ones say."
He turned back to y/n who was just standing there confused. "This is highly unexpected. A student leaving the gates by themselves hasn't happened before. Such impatience is very unbecoming." Y/n tilted her head at his muttering. "By now the ceremony is underway. We must hurry to the Halls of Mirrors at once!" "Gates? Hall of Mirrors? Student?" She wondered out loud as her eyebrows furrowed. She was already a student, a second year at the DWMA.
The man hummed. "The place you awoke. All students must pass through one of the sacred doors to gain entrance into this prestigious academy!" He seemed to boast. "Typically the students would only awake once their door was opened by a special key but it seems-" "The fire must have blown off the hinges and then I kicked the door open to escape the fire."
The man was quiet and then cleared his throat. "W-well that is a playable reason. However, it would seem this familiar of yours is responsible." "Not to interrupt but Grim is not my-" "If you insist to keep it then you must take responsibility for its actions." 'Did he just interrupt me?' Anywho. If we do not get going now, then you will miss the entire entrance ceremony! Come along student!" He grabbed Grim and Y/n wrists and started to walk out of the library.
"Where are you taking me? I do not wish to be a sacrifice to whatever god or god(s) you praise." Y/n spoke dully. "hm You must still be dazed from the teleportation magic. It's nothing to worry about, it happens often enough. I will tell you along the way for I am very gracious."
As they walked through the courtyard the man explained as he said he would.
"This is Night Reaven Collage, where only those blessed with a unique aptitude for magic may gather from all across the world. Ours is the most illustrious academy in off of Twisted Wonderland!" The man who has been given the name Crow by y/n said pridefully.
'Twisted Wonderland? Must be outside of Death City. A magic academy is most likely a place for witches. If they seemed to pose as some type of threat to Death City I will not hesitate to report to Lord Death.'
"And I am the principal Dire Crowley," 'I was pretty close.' "Appointed by the chairman himself, to care for this academy." Y/n proceeded to do a quick read on his soul and pulled her hood farther over her head to hide her deadpan. 'Based on what I'm reading, that's a terrible idea.' However, she would keep quiet. For now.
Y/n began to think. How was she gonna find a way out of here and back to Death City when she didn't even know where Death City was from here or where the hell this Twisted wonderland was located! Plus, with how the moon didn't smile down at her, she wasn't even sure she was still in her world.
