Sometimes, people make dumb choices.
Some people are simply unaware of their surroundings.
Some people are simply stupid.
Ace Tappola, in [Name]'s opinion,
"HOUSEWARDEN?!"
Falls under the category of all of the above.
"Hey, Riddle! What's shakin', pal? You're lookin' adorbs, as always," Cater said sweatdropping. The redhead prefect looks over that the orange-haired third-year with a stern expression.
"Cater, keep running that mouth and you'll lose it—along with the rest of your head." [Name] stared at the smaller male with confusion. Lose their head? That sounds particularly familiar.
"Sorry, sorry! My bad!"
Grim hopped up and pointed a finger? at the redhead, "you're the guy who put that stupid collar on me at the orientation ceremony!"
"And you're the students who were nearly expelled yesterday," Riddle fired back. "I'll ask that you not refer to my signature spell as a ''stupid collar.'' The head mage's habit of tolerating rulebreakers like you is going to send this entire campus spiraling into chaos one day." ahem "Those who break the rules should have their heads removed immediately, without exception."
"Beheaded without exception huh? How–idiotic," Riddle's full attention went to the [h/c] haired prefect.
"I beg your pardon," he asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"You would behead anyone who dared break the rules even if the rule that was broken was about something minor." [e/c] eyes stared at the confused redhead. "Keep that up and you rule with fear. Fear leads to rebellion," a small smirk rose to her lips and her eyes squinted in untold mischief. "You'll have everyone hate you. You'll have no more followers. Nothing left but a tyrant with no power."
Riddle stared at the stitch-covered girl in a mix of fear and anger. How dare she? Who does she think she is?! To say such things to him, to his face! And yet he would be lying if he were to say that her words didn't strike a bit of fear and something else in him.
"So, uh, listen, housewarden, sir...Could you by any chance remove the collar? Please?" Snapping his attention away from the girl and instead to Ace,
"I had intended to remove it once you'd taken an opportunity to reflect upon your crimes. But, I've not detected so much as a hint of remorse in the foolishness I've heard you spout today. Therefore, I believe that you have the collar on for a little while longer is beneficial. Do not worry. The freshmen curriculum is more focused on magical theory than practice. Your inability to use magic would help prevent incidents along the lines of what happened yesterday." Ace frowned at his words. Fuck this stupid collar. "Now, if you've finished your meal, you should quit gossiping and prepare for your next class. Rule 27 is quite clear: ''One must leave the table within fifteen minutes of completing their lunch.'' You DO understand what happens to rulebreakers, I trust?" RuLeBrEaKeR! rLuEbReAkEr! YoU aRe BaNnDeD fRoM tHe DaYcArE!!!
Ace sighed and muttered under his breath about ''more insane rules''. Riddle crossed his arms, "I believe you mean to say, ''Yes housewarden!''" To which both Deuce and Ace repeated. "Very well then."
"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on them," Trey told Riddle.
"As vice housewarden, I trust you'll avoid any further indiscreet conversation."
"Now, as per rule 339...''The post-meal beverage is to be lemon tea with two sugar cubes.'' Thus, I must go to acquire my sugar cubes. Farewell. Goodness, the sugar cubes have gone running low. This is practically a capital crime!" And with that, the redheaded tyrant housewarden walked away.
