Toni's POV

She woke up, surprised that Cheryl was already out of bed. She laid back and thought about the events from the day before. It was supposed to be a perfect day together, and it started off that way. But then it turned sour when their baby talk didn't go the way Cheryl wanted it to. Her wife had left her in the living room, naked to go upstairs and cry because Toni didn't answer the question about having a baby or not. And then she stayed there all night and Toni felt ridiculously guilty. When she went to the bar to meet up with the guys, she felt slightly worse for leaving in the first place, but they ended up giving her some well needed advice. She came home and made a big speech about being there for Cheryl and their baby if she wanted one, and all was forgiven. She was still slightly bothered that it had come to that, but as long as her wife was happy and they were no longer upset about the subject, she would be fine.

She went into the bathroom and brushed her teeth and washed her face. She turned the shower on and then made her way into her closet to pick out her clothes for the day. She picked out her skinny black slacks, a ruffled white blouse, and her light grey blazer. She placed them on the bed and set her black Louboutin pumps on the floor in front of the bed. She tossed a black thong and matching bra on the bed before going into the bathroom. She went into the shower and hummed to herself as she washed her hair and body.

She got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself. She was confused when she looked at her outfit and some things were changed. First off, her blouse had been replaced with a plain white t-shirt, her heels were gone and her black Nike running sneakers were in their place, and her thong and bra were replaced by a sports bra and boy shorts. "What the fuck?" she said to the open air.

"Hey babe, good morning," Cheryl said walking into the room. She kissed her on the cheek and began fixing the pillows and comforter on the bed. "I like your outfit today, very business casual."

She shook her head and chuckled. Of fucking course Cheryl was the one who changed her outfit. She picked up the changed parts and went back into her closet with every intention to return with the original pieces she picked out. Before she could leave the closet, Cheryl blocked her way.

"What's wrong? Why are you changing your outfit? I really like it the way it is."

"I bet you do, considering you practically picked it out. I can't go into work in a t-shirt and sneakers baby."

"I don't see why not. You're the boss aren't you? You could go in sweats if you wanted to. As a matter of fact," Cheryl snuck past her and dug around in the drawers of her dresser. She pulled out a pair of baggy sweatpants and handed them to Toni, pulling the original blouse out of her hands. "See, I think you'll look great. Those sweats will look perfect with the rest of your outfit that I picked out."

"Cher! You're insane," she said with a laugh as she tossed the sweats aside and took her shirt back. "I have to dress professionally when I'm going to work, regardless of my status. I could actually get into trouble if I break dress code." She put on the thong and bra before Cheryl could take them away again. She started putting lotion on her legs, completely ignoring Cheryl's childish stance a few feet away.

"Okay, how about we compromise. You get to keep the sexy underwear and the slacks, but then you wear the sneakers and the t-shirt."

"Cher, I'm not compromising. I have to wear this to work. What's the big deal about it anyway?"

"I thought you already knew that I hate it when you dress nice to work. Cause then Hermosa looks at you and then I'll have to stab her," she whined. Toni laughed and pulled her to stand between her legs.

"I already told you. Hermosa is not into me and I do not look at anyone, but you. You are my wife, my best friend, the love of my life, and the future mother of my child." She saw Cheryl's eyes light up at her last statement. "I love you. No reason for you to be insecure at all."

"I'm not insecure. I know I'm a bad bitch." Toni laughed when Cheryl flipped her hair over her shoulder. "But I just don't need a law suit for beating someone for gawking at my woman."

Toni wrapped her arms tightly around her waist and pressed a soft kiss to her stomach. She felt Cheryl's hands running through her hair and it put her at ease. "What was the last thing you just said?"

"beating someone for gawking at my woman?"

"Key words: my woman. Which means I'm yours."

"Okay, yeah. You're mine." Toni flipped her over and in a second was laying on top of Cheryl, keeping her still under her body. Toni rapidly kissed her all over her face until Cheryl was giggling and pushing her off by her shoulders. "Alright, get off you lunatic. I get it, you're mine. No need to be jealous."

"I love you," Toni whispered and gave her one last peck on the lips. She sat up, allowing Cheryl to get up and started putting on her clothes.

"Yeah, well you're a pain in the ass. By the way, can you take a long lunch today?"

"Yeah, I probably could, why what's up?"

"I have a doctor's appointment today, and I'm going to ask him about my fertility."

"Oh, you were, um, serious? I mean, I know I said get you could get pregnant tomorrow, but I didn't actually think you would get pregnant today."

"Well obviously I can't get pregnant today. It'll take a few days at least." She kissed Toni on the cheek and left the room. Toni froze again. She couldn't believe it was actually happening, like they were really going to have a kid soon. She finished getting dressed and it surprised her when she got a little excited at the thought of Cheryl being pregnant with their child. A tiny version of her wife running around would be pretty fun, as long as he or she had Toni's tendency to take frequent naps. That would be ideal.

She went downstairs when she was completely dressed and finished with her hair and makeup. Cheryl had already poured her a mug of coffee which she eagerly drank and she picked out an apple from their fruit bowl. Cheryl was in the living room on the phone and she was laughing.

"Oh my god, I know. She is crazy competitive, we can't go to Dave & Buster's anymore. You should have seen it, the mom went ape shit on her."

"Oh my god Cher, stop telling people that story! It was a weak moment in my life and I'd rather not be reminded of it every chance I get," Toni said, joining her wife in the living room.

"Shut up TT. Veronica was asking about yesterday so I told her how you're a bad winner." Toni groaned and sat on the couch, moving Cheryl's feet to lay on her lap. "As I was saying, she's a terrible winner. We can't take her anywhere in public where there's some kind of contest to be won. Especially not around children. You would think she'd be nice because the kid is like five, but no. She believes in no mercy whether it's her little cousin or her great-grandfather."

"Okay, you're done," Toni said taking the phone away from her. "Hey Veronica, ignore everything she just said, I'm a saint. Can you tell me the assignment so I can go to work and then you can talk to my wife about whatever after?"

"Good morning to you too Toni. And I don't understand why every time we talk you are so snippy. I feel like with all this sex you should be cool as a cucumber."

"I'm not a vegetable. What's the assignment?"

"Technically cucumbers are fruits. And you're obviously not a fruit, because fruits are sweet, and you're sour as shit."

Toni tossed the phone back to Cheryl. "I can't deal with your shrink right now. Find out what the assignment is before I kill her." Toni stood up and went back into the kitchen to prepare her travel mug. When she was all set Cheryl came into the room. "Well?"

"We get to use another gift," she said with a smile and hurried up the stairs. Toni followed after her and waited for her to take the large box out of her closet. She pulled out a small black box with a cursive '3' on the outside. She watched Cheryl open the box, pull out the silk bag, and turn it upside down in her hand. A small purple triangle fell out and Cheryl turned it over in her hands.

"Um, what is that?" Toni asked.

"I've seen this online before. It's a vibrating tongue teaser." Toni quirked and eyebrow and Cheryl rolled her eyes. "There's an opening on this end, you stick your tongue into it and then turn on the vibrator."

"So it vibrates your tongue," Toni stated plainly.

"Yeah, but then you put your tongue on other stuff," Cheryl said with a smirk.

Toni snatched it out of her hand. "Dibs, I'm totally using this on you tonight."

"No fair! You used the last one!"

"You wanted me to!"

"I don't care, I'm using this one." Cheryl reached for it and failed. Toni held it in her fist above her head where Cheryl couldn't reach. Her wife soon got frustrated and stomped away. "You are such a jerk."

Toni laughed and stuck it in her pocket just to make sure her wife wouldn't steal it and not give it back. She was childish like that sometimes. She went downstairs to where her wife was sitting at the counter on her phone.

"Baby, I'm going to work." She picked up her mug and bag and was confused when Cheryl didn't meet her at the door. "Cher? I said I'm leaving."

"Good for you. Bye," she said, not looking up from the small screen in front of her.

"Cher, don't be a baby. You have to kiss me goodbye."

"I don't have to do a damn thing if I don't want to. You should go, or you'll be late." Okay, her wife was being a stubborn ass again. She dropped her things and walked over to her wife at the counter. She turned her around in her stool and before she could object, she planted her lips on Cheryl's. Her wife kissed her back instantly and she smirked before pulling away.

"You think I'm going to let you throw away thirteen years of tradition because you're being a baby? I don't think so."

"I swear, you are the most annoying person I have ever met," Cheryl said smiling.

"And yet you chose to marry me. I think you're a little messed up."

"Yeah whatever." Cheryl wrapped an arm around her neck and pulled her in again for a quick kiss. "Have a great day babe."

"I will." She pecked her and went outside with her things, moving quickly so she wouldn't be late.

She got into the car and saw that Cheryl was standing by the door so she rolled down her window. "Don't forget, my appointment is at one!" she shouted.

"I'll see you then!" she shouted back.

"Don't give me a reason to kill your assistant!" She chuckled and pulled out of the driveway. She took off down the street and made her way to work.

Toni sat at her desk, playing solitaire on her computer because she had nothing else to do. Her higher up had devoted the entire week for her to finish planning the benefit, but she was pretty much done. So really, her entire week she could either be down in the actual banquet space doing remedial work, or she could bullshit in her office for eight hours and then go home. She chose the latter without a second thought.

Her earpiece made a noise on her desk and she put it in, not looking away from her card game. "Hi, this is Toni."

"Hi Mrs. Topaz-Blossom, I was just calling to remind you that you have to meet your wife at the doctor's office at 1 pm today."

"Hermosa, the door is five feet away. You could have easily just come in to tell me that."

"My apologies. I'll come in a second."

"Hermosa, no-," she was cut off by the distinct sound of the end call beep. She sighed and took the ear piece out. Just like she said, a second later Hermosa's head popped in through the doorway.

"Can I come in?"

"Of course you can."

The short blonde girl walked in with her clipboard in hand, as usual and sat in one of the chairs across from Toni. "Your wife called."

"I'm aware, you just told me that." She continued clicking on the virtual cards, sending them flying to the appropriate piles. She was trying to beat her record. "Anything else?"

"Oh, yes. How long did you need for lunch? She didn't specify what kind of appointment it was, so I just wanted to give you extra time if you needed it."

"An extra hour would be fine. Not like it even matters anyway."

"I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by that."

"I mean, that I'm playing solitaire right now. And I have been for the past hour, because I have literally no work to do. You actually don't even need to be here right now." The younger woman pondered her words for a moment before opening her mouth to speak, but closing it right after. "What is it that you need to say? I'm not going to hurt you."

"I was just wondering if I could take a longer lunch as well. My boyfriend is in town and I'd like to spend some time with him before he leaves again."

"I don't know if I can allow that. Our lunches overlap and Cowell would die if he found out that neither of us were here for two hours." The shorter girl nodded and Toni could tell she was upset. "But, I can let you leave two hours early instead of taking a lunch, if that helps."

"Yes, that would be amazing Mrs. Topaz-Blossom. Thank you."

"No problem Hermosa. Anything else?"

"No, that's everything. I'll leave you to your work then." The young girl scampered to the door and slipped out quickly. Toni resumed her game and cursed when she finished one second over her fastest time. She played more for another half hour before she decided that she would literally blow her brains out if she saw the cards do that stupid dance one more time.

She picked up her headset and called Hermosa. "Hi Mrs. Topaz-Blossom, what can I do for you?"

"I am going to shoot myself out of boredom. Go out and get something for me to do."

"Um, I'm not sure what that means Mrs. Topaz-Blossom."

"It's a very simple task Hermosa. Go to the store and get me something to entertain myself with for the rest of the week. Games, puzzles, anything at all. Don't take longer than half an hour."

"Okay, I'll get on that right away."

Exactly twenty five minutes later, Hermosa came into her office with bags from all kinds of stores. "Okay, so I wasn't sure what you're into so I got a variety of things."

"Let's see them." She pulled out a packaged Rubik's cube and placed it on her desk. "Nope, I'll give up and google how to solve it. What else you got?" Hermosa pulled out a mini Zen garden kit. She took the box and looked it over. "Okay, this will keep me busy for about ten minutes before I throw it across the room. Next?" Hermosa pulled out one of the little handheld games that looked like a mini water tank where you push a button to shoot the little rings onto the little pegs. Toni looked at it, and back at Hermosa. "Okay, am I five? Where's the fun stuff?"

Hermosa pushed the bag from that store aside and pulled out another one. She handed Toni a long, rectangular box. She took it and realized that it was like a tabletop miniature pool table. "Okay, this is what I'm talking about. What else?" Hermosa smiled and kept pulling things out of her bag.

Toni was satisfied by what her excursion brought. She discarded the useless toys like the paddleball and the stupid cup with the ball attached by a string game and kept the fun stuff like the Nerf gun, Etch a Sketch, and the flying helicopter. The last of which, she was currently playing with. The little aircraft hovered over her desk and she practiced getting it to go in the direction she wanted without it crashing into the wall or the ceiling.

It took a while, but she finally got the hang of it. She managed to control its turns and altitude and only sent it accidentally flying in her face once. Before she knew it, it was time to meet Cheryl at the doctor's office. She put all of her new toys away inside her desk, just in case someone decided to look into her office. She said a quick goodbye to Hermosa and got into the elevator. She got downstairs and outside to her car and drove to the office where her wife was already waiting. She parked her car next to her wife's in the lot and walked into the office. The receptionist pointed her in the right direction and she walked in, just as Cheryl was getting into the stirrups.

"Hey baby, sorry I'm late."

"No, you're right on time. Dr. Barba hasn't even poked me yet." Toni waved quickly to the doctor who was putting on his gloves. "Hey Doc, would you be able to tell me if I can have a baby and when I'm ovulating and all that good stuff?"

"Yes, Mrs. Topaz-Blossom." The man looked less than interested in being there, and Toni didn't blame him. One thing with her wife, she loved to talk during the most awkward and uncomfortable moments. The fact that her legs were up and her lady bits were all out in the open didn't faze her one bit.

"So how's work so far?" she asked.

"Ridiculously boring. I had Hermosa go out and buy me things so I could stay entertained."

"Yeah? What did she buy?"

"A bunch of crap. But my favorite is the toy helicopter, I was flying it all over my office. It's so much fun."
