Cheryl's POV

Cheryl felt something wet and warm tickling her face and she scrunched her nose in a lackluster attempt to get away from it. The thing moved to her cheek and she shook her head.

"Toni, cut it out," she mumbled. But her wife wouldn't stop. She continued, licking she assumed, moving to her ear and then back to her cheek again. "It's too early, and I told you not to kiss me before I brush my teeth."

She cracked her eyes open and her vision was blocked by white. Like pure white, aka too white to be Toni, so she moved away from the source and sat up. Their temporary puppy sat on the bed, his tail wagging and his tongue flopping out of his mouth.

"Jeez, Shithead. Not cool." She inwardly cursed when she realized it was the first time she actually called him that stupid name and reached out to gently rub his stomach. "Sorry, I meant cutie."

He rubbed his head on her hand and she continued to pet him. "Where's Toni?" she asked him. He barked and she shook her head, wondering why she thought it would be a good idea to try to talk to a dog. It was too early for her brain to function but she got up anyway because the puppy was probably hungry. She threw on one of Toni's t-shirts and brushed her teeth in the bathroom. She decided to wash her face also because who knew if dog slobber could make her break out.

When she was all finished, the puppy trailed behind her as she went downstairs. She hit the button on his super hi-tech feeder and a pre-portioned amount of dog food landed in his bowl. He stuck his face into it eagerly and she leaned down to pet his back quickly before moving to the sink to find a mug. She hid it well from Toni and generally everyone, but she was very anxious for the upcoming week. It was only because she wanted to see if a certain Aunt would come to visit or not. If she didn't, it could only mean good things. And then she could go to the doctor and find out if her Aunt's train got delayed or if there was something else she needed to concern herself with. That something being a little someone.

She changed her mind about the tea and decided to clean up a bit around the house because why not. She grew bored about five minutes in because there was literally nothing to do. The two of them were very neat, and by that, she meant she was a mess and Toni cleaned up after the both of them. Plus, she knew Toni called a housekeeper to do some deep cleaning every two weeks while they were at work. She had never actually met the cleaner, but she'd seen the check copies, though Toni swore it was for something else.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her own phone ringing and she picked it up.

"Cheryl!"

"Hey Tabitha, what's up?"

"Nothing much. How did your thingy go last night?"

"It was fun, I had a great time. Thanks for helping me out with everything, I don't think I could've done it without you."

"Yeah, what are best friends for right? Always there to help when you need them."

"You want a favor from me right now, don't you?" Cheryl said in an annoyed tone.

"Woah bitch, I don't always call you when I need something."

"Really? I beg to differ."

"The nerve! Here I am calling so I can give you some good news but no. I changed my mind. Your rude ass can deal with Shithead for the rest of his life."

"Wait, that's what you were calling for?"

"Yes, you dirty skeeze."

"Okay, fine. What is it?"
