"Scared baba" Leigh-Anne turned to Jade who sat in the passenger seat. She grabbed the hybrid's hand.
"Don't be scared baby."
"No like Jade" Jade frowned
"Don't say that baby. If they don't like you then fuck them-" Leigh-Anne smiled when Jade put a finger on her lips.
"Bad baba"
"I'm sorry, if they don't like you , then forget them. I'll take you home as soon as you feel uncomfortable, okay? Just let me know" Jade nodded
Leigh-Anne got out of her car, opening the door for her girlfriend. She held her hand walking with her to her parents mansion.
"Wait.. . . "
"What's wrong baby?"
"Can Jade have kissy?"
"I baby, Can I have a kissy" Leigh-Anne corrected
"Can I have a kissy?"
Leigh-Anne pressed her lips to Jade's before showering her in kisses.
"Nooo baba!" Jade giggled trying to escape Leigh-Anne.
"Can I hold you hand?" Leigh-Anne put her hand out for Jade who wrapped her small hand around Leigh-Anne's fingers. Leigh-Anne knocked and her mother opened the door.
"Hi mother. I have someone I want you to me-"
"You're late Leigh-Anne. I told you four. Come in" Jades eyes wandered around the large luxurious home. Leigh-Anne removed her shoes. Jade followed but was stopped by Leigh-Anne's mother.
"Take those shoes off in my house" Jade looked down at her shoes. She couldn't even tie her shoe laces.
"Baba, help Jade"
Leigh-Anne bent down untying her laces and pulling her shoes off.
"Go put them next to mine please. Can you do that?"
"Yes!"
"Go on then" Jade put her shoes down and ran back into Leigh-Anne's arms.
"Good job baby"
"Just put shoes on floor" Jade shrugged with a smile
"Well, excuse me. Are you hungry?"
"Yes"
She clung to Leigh-Anne as they took a seat at the dining table. Well Leigh-Anne did, it was a small table that sat four. Jade stared at the three strangers.
"Baba" she whispered, feeling a bit uncomfortable when her mother stood up and walked past her into the kitchen. Leigh-Annes mother had a very intimidating glare.
"You're baby-sitting hybrids now?" Her father asked catching a glimpse of Jade's round ears
"No I'm not, but I am dating her, so I want you both to meet her, she'll be coming to work with me. Sir, it was nice meeting you but I need this seat for my girlfriend" She put a lot on emphasis on girlfriend because she was tired of her parents trying to set her up.
"Dont be rude Leigh-Anne, do you know who this is?" Her mother asked returning with a bottle of red wine.
"With all due respect I don't know who you are. I do know that I would like for my parents to meet my partner. That I chose. So can we please reschedule? We can go out and talk, on me?" The man nodded leaving their family home. Jade smiled holding Leigh-Anne tighter. The one that she chose. That gave her butterflies.
"That was Ethan Yang"
"Okay . . . " Little did Leigh-Anne know he would become her head of security and best friend a few years later.
