Part 2 - Chapter 4

They touched down in Ailartsua yesterday and surprisingly everything was going quite well. They had to take Amir into the hospital at six because his procedure is at eight. They've never operated on a hybrid let alone a two year old one.

They let Leigh-Anne into the room while Jesy, Perrie and Jade sat in the waiting room with the girls.

It was currently seven on the dot and they wanted to start putting him under but she was afraid.

"Can you use nitrous oxide?" Leigh-Anne asked, She really didn't want her baby to be given such strong medicine.

"I can't. I'm sorry, don't worry about it. It's completely safe for both children and hybrids."

"Can I ask why not?"

"It would require him to fast two hours ahead of time and it wont put him to sleep. He's very young so would probably be afraid. He would hear the drill and freak out. We need him to be completely still the entire time."

"Okay sorry. I just don't want any complications or him to feel any pain. His sensitivity to pain is high."

"Don't worry, We will take care of him, you can watch if you'd like. You won't faint or anything right?"

"No" Leigh-Anne didn't know why she lied. She would be okay. . . She hoped.

"We're going to start now, can you sit him up, we're going to start an IV" Leigh-Anne held the sleeping boy in her lap. She held his arm out for the doctor.

She tied a tourniquet on his arm, Leigh-Anne was praying that he didn't wake up.He stirred but stayed asleep. When the woman wiped his arm, his ear twitched, tickling her chin. He quietly whined and Leigh-Anne shushed him. She looked at the woman quietly asking her to hurry up.

"Sorry, his vein is really small and i don't want to have to stick him again and again" She lined the needle up to his arms before inserting it. He didn't move and She hooked it up to a bag before asking Leigh-Anne to lay him down.

"Why is he not breathing!!"

"He's breathing. It's just slowed. Calm down" The woman smiled at Leigh-Anne.

Half an hour passed and they were taking him up to surgery. Leigh-Anne stood up to follow.

"I'm going to ask you to wait here"

"You just said i could come"

"Yeah but you're panicky and we don't need that in the operating room, it makes the nurses and doctors uneasy. I can bring your family up here and bring some cots for the little ones. The surgery will take four to five hours."

"Okay, Can my wife go in with him so that he isn't alone?"

The doctor gave her a look

"She's not like me. She's calm, Promise" The doctor nodded telling Leigh-Anne that she would be back. She came back with the rest of the crew following. She also had two small cots in her hand.

"Mama" Aaliyah ran over to Leigh, sitting on her lap.

"Where's pooba?" She looked around for her little brother.

"They took him to a special room. Hes okay"

"But. . .i didnt get to say bye"

"Hes not leaving forever princess. You will see him again" Jade kissed her forehead sitting beside Leigh-Anne.

Ashton slept peacefully with Perrie. A nurse came and dressed the beds, Perrie laid their youngest down on the cot.

"Can she go with?" Leigh-Anne asked, pointing at Jesy.
