Jake Jacobs

It was loud.

His heartbeat is so loud it felt like it's going to jump out of his chest. He can smell the mild fragrance of her shampoo and her cologne and he swears to God, he can't help it anymore. He wrapped his arm around her waist to pull her closer, pressing her back against his broad chest.

He bended his head to press his nose against her shoulder, sniffing more of her meek scent that calms the chaos in his head.

"I'm.." He whispered against her ear. "I'm in so much trouble." He said and sniffed her hair. God, she smells so heavenly.

"What?" She uttered, breathless. She turned her head to listen carefully, she can hear his unsteady breathing and that is making her more nervous too. It's what he thinks, at least. He can feel her loud heartbeat against his arm around her shoulders.

"I have been—" He paused and gulped hard. "—controlling myself, Elisse."

She finally turned around to look at him and his eyes darted straight to her shiny lips. He carefully tucks some strands of hair behind her ear, then slowly brush his fingertips against her cheek down to her neck. He met her eyes but she is staring at his lips; the wanting in her eyes making him weaker in a minute.

"Controlling yourself from—what?" Elisse whispered, her warm breath touching his lips. She slides her hands up to his neck, pressing their bodies together. He fluttered his eyes when he felt her fingers tangling with the hair on the back of his head.

God, didn't that feel good, Jake?

This is almost making him surrender. What is she doing to him? How can he feel so weak just by standing there in front of her?

"Can I?" He whispered, licking his lips. He brushes his nose against hers; cupping her cheeks with his hands. Oh, God. She feels so soft against his fingertips, so fragile, so vulnerable.

Elisse blinked her eyes several times and met his. She doesn't have to ask, she thought. She knows he wants her too much and she liked it like that. When he started to lean in, she bit her lower lip to ready herself. They met gazes again but he turned to look at her lips again; moving slowly to reach her.

She closed her eyes the moment she felt his warmth breath against her face. Her fingers gripped on his sleeve while his hand pressed her back to pull her closer. His other hand cupped her right cheek, his thumb softly brushed her lower lip to open it up.

But someone knocked on the door.

"Yo, Jake." Somebody called from the other side of it.

Elisse flinched and opened her eyes, looking at his flushed face. He bit his lower lip, the frustration is visible for this isn't the first time they were interrupted. He whispered a sorry and cupped her cheek to kiss her forehead instead.

"Some other time then?" She whispered and moved closer to him. He gave her a small smile and a curt nod when she brushed her nose against his. Ah, please, let him hold her a little longer.

Then, another bang on the door.

Or not.

"Hey, Jake. The boys are waiting." The voice called again, making him whisper a curse. Shoot, he forgot that his friends are here too to watch his fight.

"Come here." He said and pulls Elisse behind him, holding her hand tight. She looks at him and held him back with that same old smile she has.

Jake finally opened the door and is welcomed by the huge figure of his friend and mentor, Raymond.
