ALI

Ben, Audrey and I walk out to the lockers together. I lean against my locker as Ben opens his, and Audrey complains about me interrupting her time with 'Bennyboo'.

"Audrey, honey- shut up, will you? Ben and I were hanging out first."

She grunts and looks to Ben for help, but he (cleverly) pretends to be distracted by the contents of his locker. My attention is grabbed by a group of girls down by the tables giggling loudly and calling out to Mal. Unfortunately, so is Audrey's.

"Do you think they actually paid for those?" She snobs.

Ben pulls his head out of his locker and turns to look at the girls, but I walk away, having noticed Jay standing by Mal's side and wanting to get away from Audrey.

"Hey, Ali." Mal greets. She gives me a smile before turning back to her locker, and I raise an eyebrow as I investigate the graffiti on it.

"Dude, that looks amazing. Did you paint this?"

Mal pulls her head out and closes the door slightly to look at it as if she wasn't sure what I was talking about. After a moment of looking at it, she turns to me with a soft smile. "Yeah," She says, "It's a tag I used to paint all over the Isle. Mark our territory."

"That's so cool." I smile.

"Mhm," Jay hums. He swiftly moves around Mal as she ducks back into the locker and corners me against someone else's beside hers. "Hello, handsome," He smiles, his hands resting on my hips.

"Hey, yourself."

"Please don't flirt near me." I hear Mal groan.

With a chuckle, I take Jay's hand and pull him to the railing, overlooking the giggling girls from before. "Hey, ladies," I smile. A couple of them swoon and one of them almost faints when I lock eyes with her. "You all going to the tourney game tonight?" Jay stands close to me, not sure where I'm going with this.

"Yeah," They answer, giggling. I reach my hand down and take one of the girl's hands before letting it go, and she squeals softly. I grin at them, "Keep a lookout for number eight, alright?" I pull Jay forward and they swoon twice as hard as before.

My next words are still aimed at the girls, but my eyes are set on Jay. "He's gonna be scoring the winning goal." He chuckles, looking at me softly, and I hear squeals and then a couple thumps and gasps. I look down with a raised eyebrow and see that a couple girls have fainted.

"Oops." I smile.

Jay chuckles and lifts me into his arms and I can't help but laugh as he spins me around. "What are you doing?" I ask, laughing through my words.

He sets me gently on the ground and rests his forehead against mine. I blush. "You're amazing," Jay grins, and I feel my eyelids grow heavy as I look between his eyes and his lips. The two of us go quiet and I notice Jay's eyes are half-lidded as he leans closer to me, and I do the same.

My phone goes off.

I groan and pull away from Jay, digging in my back pocket until I find my phone and see the many message notifications I have. "Oh, crap," I groan, sighing and leaning my head on Jay's chest. It rumbles as he laughs.
