Ni-Ki's POV

'Thousands of students pooled around to see him'

Park Jongseong known as Jay.

The crowd consisted of mostly girls but there were some boys thrown into the mix which for me meant I could get to my locker more easily than last time.

"Move out of the way, you misfit!"

The crowd was growing larger and boys were throwing insults at me left and right as I tried to get to my locker,

"Stop getting in my way!"

"Just leave!"

"Throw yourself off a cliff and a single soul wouldn't care!"

I plugged my earphones in and put them at a high volume hoping it would drown their voices out but the insults wouldn't stop, I could barely hear the lyrics thanks to all the commotion.

'So am I, so am I, so am I-I-I-I-I,'

The lyrics made the situation worse as more outcasted students joined the crowd, so much for personal space. Only it seemed like personal space wasn't a thing anymore as my body was pressed against a locker by the massive crowd of students. Luckily someone grabbed my arm and pulled me out. They were shorter than me but could kill anyone with his smile. Yang Jungwon.

This time Jungwon wasn't there and the crowd were now scattering which meant that Jay was done with their 'idol act', but I was wrong instead the crowd completely dispersing they turned to face me and so did Jay and for the first time, he actually looked at me! ME! Nishmura Riki! Something in the air felt off, something that made my heart clench like a clawing machine. His eyes, they turned.... red?

I ignored what my mind had just come up with and realised that Jay was walking straight in my direction,

"Ni-Ki,"

"Yes?"

"Which way is the dance club, I forgot,"

"I'm going there now so I could show you the way?"

"Sure,"

Right, we had a half term break which meant people could sign up for new clubs or stay in the ones they're already in. When we reached the entrance Jungwon stood there stretching and dancing along to 'All I Wanna Do'.

"JUNGWONIEEEE!"

"NI-KIIIIIII!"

We both flew at each other with open arms and hugged each other like there was no tomorrow. But suddenly I felt my heart clench again and I looked back to see...
