I felt my heart clench again and looked back to see Jay or rather his eyes, turning blood red. The more I stared, the more my heart felt as though it contained a volcano that was about to erupt. And it did. At that moment a hole burst through my heart. I felt nothing except  love.  The bond felt so strong I couldn't believe it was real.

"Ni-Ki, you okay?"

"I'm fine,"

I was the complete opposite, my heart was now racing faster than a.... I don't actually know.  With every step Jay took my heart ached but in a good way.  I turned my neck to face Jungwon so quickly I could've broken it,

"What's today's choreo?"

"Fever by Enhypen,"

As if on cue, the music started playing and echoed round the practice room so smoothly it created an ethereal effect. The atmosphere was still heavy but my heart was more relaxed now. Whilst me and Jungwon went through the choreography Jay stood behind us watching and trying out some of the moves. I hate to admit I did find it cute when he made a wrong move and pouted. No offense to oxygen, but Jay was what really kept me going behind the scenes.

Once our free period ended I made sure to clear up way before Jay to avoid heavy traffic down the monstrous hallway. What really sucked was that Jay's locker was only a few down from mine and since we shared our classes together it meant we always bumped into each other coincidence or not.

"Ni-Ki do you know what class we have next?"

"Art and Design, why?"

"I've sort of lost my planner,"

I shook my head in disappointment at the black-haired male in front of me.

"Y-,"

I was about to say something when the bell went off signalling for everyone to get to classes. Jay quickly grabbed my wrist and we both sprinted down the hallway as fast as we could, knowing how far the art department is and how strict our teacher is and how little we had left, we were going to end up as headless chickens in detention, sat there doing absolutely nothing,

"Mr Park and Mr Nishimura, care to explain why the two of you are late?"

"Sorry sir, it won't happen again we promise," My heart fluttered at Jay's simple statement,

"And I promise you two will have detention, now go sit down otherwise further measures will be imposed,"

The final fire-alarm-like bell rang which meant we could finally go home..... or not. I groaned and facepalmed myself, time to find Sunoo and do some explaining.

The pink-haired male stood at my locker looking most unimpressed,

"Riki Nishimura landed himself in detention, that's something I thought wouldn't happen in years, but with Park Jongseong you got yourself the most legendary detention,"

"Tell me about it," I teasingly rolled my eyes at the person I called 'my best friend'.

The bell rang again signalling it was time for tea, a period where students were offered a range of snacks before heading off to whatever club they had. Sadly I would be missing it thanks to Park Jongseong.

"Ni-Ki you coming to detention?"

Talk of the devil, I pushed aside my thoughts and ran up to him only slowing down when he started walking. Time to waste 1 hour of my precious life with my crush.
