Author's note: Part 6/?? of Sean/White Ghost hunting story.
The door opened with a squeak as Yok unintentionally bumped into them. We all jumped, startled. White's body started to tremble, and I couldn't help to sneak my arm around his shoulder. I don't know if my action made him uncomfortable, but at least the shivering stopped. I ignored Black's low growl and followed Gram and Yok inside while gently nudging White. We made it safely into the living room and started to unpack our equipment. I didn't want to, but I had to let go of White. To my surprise, the cuter twin didn't seem to like it either. He shuffled closer to me, gently gripping the hem of my jacket. I glanced at Black, who was busy preparing his night vision camera but was still within reach of his brother. It didn't look like he noticed what was happening, though. I smiled at White, letting him cling to me. If he was feeling better like this, who was I to complain?
The silence in the house was disturbing. I visited a lot of abandoned buildings, but this one felt different. The air seems to be thicker, and the silence heavier. It didn't make sense. I dared to peek at my surroundings, and I didn't like it. This villa hides a dark secret in its cracked walls.
White's grip tightened, and I quickly pulled him closer. Our eyes met, and all I could see was pure terror radiating from behind his glasses. Black must have caught my action because he was next to us in a second. To my surprise, he didn't attempt to get his brother out of my embrace. His palms rested on White's cheeks, turning his head towards him. From my point of view, it looked like he tried to read White's thoughts.
"It's here," White whispered with a trembling voice. And as on cue, we could hear a creak from above us.
