Chapter 28 - Under The Mistletoe

Yesterday when we arrived from the trip I went home took a shower and looked for something nice to wear and headed to the restaurant with my dad.

During dinner we had a talk a about Christmas and the mysterious trip.

We decided to go on my dad's car, I wasn't feeling like driving I was to tired from the trip, the way to the restaurant was made with small talk about my PE trip, and I couldn't stop my thoughts to drift to what happen with Miss Adams in the cabin, just thinking of her made me smile.

What are you smiling about? My dad asked.

Hmm? What?

Who's the lucky person?

No, one! I answered fast, that made my dad laugh.

You know I can find out rigth.

Yes I know, but you won't. I said smirking at him.

And why is that?

Because I can tell your friends that you were the one that made that prank the last time. I said my smirk getting bigger.

By the time we stop bickering we had already arrived to the restaurant.

The food was really good, and the conversation was ligth. We had decided to spend Christmas at home just seeing mom's favorite movies and talking and try to compensate on the time we had lost.

Most of the time he just went on expeditions and stop calling or sending messages for a while I felt alone before, now I feel like I have a home with Jason and Patricia and I also like to believe that Miss Adams will be part of my family too but that is another conversation a complicated one.

But I guess he saw how much I need him this days, I can take care of myself but I still want him close I want him to still be there for me when I get my heart broken, or get mad with something that happen, someone to protect me from all the hurt. I want someone to hug me and say that its okay to hurt, to feel things you shouldn't sometimes.

So he proposed a trip to Egypt for me to be closer to him for a few days, but it wasn't just for me, he proposed to get me and my class a trip to Egypt, he knew that we had to gain some money from the spring break trip, so it would just make it so much easier.

I couldn't contain the smile that appeared in my face.

I would like that very much!

Okay so I will call your school on Monday to talk with the director to get everything arranged. He said smiling.

I love you dad. I said smiling softly.

I love you too kid!

After that we just talked about random stuff and played around until the restaurant had to close.

After that day, my days were spent in school doing exams, going to the shooting range and going on runs with my dogs since they are staying in Miss Adams house, I don't really spend that much time with them anymore and I miss my baby boys.

Christmas was here now, and I decided to go crazy and get something for Miss Adams, I'm kinda scared to over step boundaries even do we did that already, but still.

I'm gonna drive to an animal shelter in a city next by to go get a puppy not just any puppy, a Doberman called pumpkin, she's so fucking cute and she has a temper just like Miss Adams that I can tell you from the few times I visit that puppy, she's gonna make you want her attention and she gets you to do everything that she wants and she's just as stubborn.
