~Taco POV~
I fumbled with the megaphone for a few seconds before clicking it on. Firey and Match looked up at me from the picnic tables, and I stood on the same table as Golfball would. Firey was holding a large makeshift umbrella, and was trying to balance its absurd weight against himself.
"Everyone! Emergency meeting!" I looked around for a few seconds, "We found a possible exit!" It was silent, as if something else was going on. I sighed, and my arm dropped lazily.
"Oh! Taco, hand me the megaphone!" Firey held an unoccupied hand up to catch it if I threw it, so I tossed it to him, "AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs like the stands at a football stadium.
"Yikes, like, I'll go deaf!" Match covered the sides of her head in annoyance. Luckily, Firey's horrible strategy was a good idea, because Coiny and Pin fled downstairs.
"I heard screaming?!" Pin shouted, her eyes were blazing, as for Coiny, he looked like his soul had gotten sucked out.
"Pin? What the matchstick factory!" Match hopped out from under Firey's umbrella, "You're supposed to be locked away!"
"No, Match its okay." Coiny fumbled over to the umbrella weakly, "She just saved my life."
"R-really?" Match turned to her side for a moment, "Oh... I guess my idea was wrong. Whatever!" She dejectedly walked back to Firey. Coiny's eyes lit up, and he ran over to give Firey a hug.
"Aww! Coiny, knock it off!" Firey squirmed, and Coiny just hugged tighter, "You know this is serious!" Firey giggled, Pin sighed.
"Can I... Can I join the hug?" Pin scratched her head. Firey looked in confusion for a moment before nodding. Pin smiled softly, and rushed over to pull the two closer.
"Firey's really hot, we shouldn't be hugging." Coiny took his hands away, and rubbed his eyes, pulling Pin with him.
"What?" Firey grinned awkwardly, "Mmm, now that you mention it, I'm hot as hell!" He made a cutesy face, and Coiny groaned.
"You know I didn't mean that you knucklehead!" Coiny elbowed Firey in the side.
"Oh, remember guys, we have to tell them about the call!" I looked down, "And about the year." I scratched my face and scooted off the table.
"What's with the year?" Pin asked, her eyes radiating a positively eerie vibe.
"Oh..." Firey's grin turned to an innocent grimace, "Apparently this vacation has lasted around a year." He frowned.
"A year?!" Coiny looked to the sky, "Could this... This be synthetic?" The sky flickered slightly.
"Gah!" Pin shouted, "You must be right! These incredibly dragged out days must be the result of such!" She looked down.
"That's why there are no working clocks."
I thought for a long moment.
"Where's Loser?" I look around, and Pin and Coiny's faces change to shades of black and blue.
"It's better you don't know."
~Unknown POV~
The subject numbers are halfway to completion, and I'm content with stopping here. It's already a handful. Huh- Wait...
There's something going on in the other room.
Is that?
No.
Both Blocky and Gela- No. User and Friend, have escaped! They... They escaped.
...
Are you (CENSORED) kidding me?
...
I guess it's my fault for not watching the experiment.
...
Goddamn it.
...
Okay. Fine, whatever!
I'll just get more subjects soon, maybe then I can pick more who anger me? Just have to find them.
Right, yeah.
Experiment 63, Extermination: I've decided that I'll just end this project soon. I've gotten so far, but I guess it wasn't meant for me to win. Starting from here, I called in Subject 1. They had locked in one of the secure cells thanks to an increased number of security breaches. Now that Subject 4 serves me no purpose it is time to kill them. If Arms fails to murder the subject, then I will put them inside the Water Tank for a few more days. This was a success, Eating was broken into several pieces.
Experiment 68, Days: Subject 6 has been awake for several more days than the average, this could be attributed to her lack of eyelids, or the fact I have removed a need for sleep in her biology. She is the most successful subject, and I will be removing any form of comfort from her cell. That may make her nice, and I don't want that. She seems irritable.
Experiment 1, Me: Okay... This is my first log here, I'm pretty anxious, but that will be over soon. Nobody knows of my whereabouts, so I am perfectly fine to take some objects for experimentation. I'm just... I don't know, scared?
Scared about what?
What if I'm caught?!
Trust me, it will be okay.
Oh... Alright...
You don't fully believe me, do you.
No... Yes...
Call Leafy, she'll know what to do.
Leafy? Really? Oh... Okay.
~Pin POV~
My stomach was still upset, and seeing Coiny's deflated face wasn't helping. Firey tried comforting the two of us, he kept saying we could just lock him in his room. I don't know if that's helping though.
"This is bad, like I said before, panic's reached the top!" Firey repeated every few lines, "And now that... Now that Needle's... Missing..." He trailed off.
"Don't remind me of Needle, please?" I struggled to look up, and Coiny's eyes seemed to flash.
"Listen, we're all in this together. We have to rise up to the challenge." Coiny grabbed Firey's hand, and the two shared a few seconds of silence.
These deaths, specifically Needle's death, hit hard. As if every time your heart beated the wind was knocked out of you. All I wanted was for Firey, Coiny and I to stay alive. 14 days? Was it really that short? Or was it 28 days? This time stuff is so confusing.
"Right. I promise that I'll try my best to help. I won't have another outburst, just... Just don't leave me and Coiny by ourselves." Because I can't even trust myself.
~Needle's Perspective~
"So... So cold."
-1006 words, this chapter was mainly filler, but dw, we'll get back to the main plot soon!-
