A Fire Burns Within Me Version 2

Greece Lightning

Artemis nodded solemnly. "Be safe."

I smirked before taking Estelle by the hand and grabbing Zoe's hand. Frank took Zoe's other hand and we walked to the doors to the Empire State Building.

"Perseus Jackson!" Chrysaor's voice was closer than I wanted it to be. Instantly, we were running through the doors and disappearing on the other side.

Now, we don't normally see the portal part of our travels, and normally, it doesn't take more than a few seconds. However, this time, we saw what looked like the theme song opening of a cartoon. Something about a certain amount of days in summer vacation and needing something to do for it.

We were flying through the air, still hanging on to each other's hands, throughout a town I did not recognize before we were flying through different scenes. There was a kid fighting a mummy and trumpeting penguins in the first few scenes. And if that wasn't weird enough, I saw a hybrid animal that looked like a mix between a unicorn, turtle and elephant, a couple of kids giving a monkey a shower and the penguins were suddenly playing guitar.

Throughout all this, I was barely paying attention to the words of the song playing in the background but once I saw the hybrid animal that didn't exist, I stopped trying to pay attention to the words completely. The scenes kept changing and I could barely understand what was going on. At one point I'm sure I saw a giant paint roller. Then the scenes stopped switching out and I caught the last words of the song: "So stick with us 'cause Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all!"

Then: "Mom! Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence!"

Our view suddenly changed again and we were no longer flying. The four of us crashed to the ground in a messy heap behind a stone statue of a Greek hero.

"Frank, I think your foot is in my eye," I groaned. "It's surprisingly two dimensional."

"Sorry."

The foot moved but there was a weight on my stomach that was slightly crushing my lungs. Did a statue fall on top of us? Then the weight spoke.

"Percy, are you ok?"

Oh, it's Estelle. "Yeah, I'm good," I answered. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah," she answered, climbing off of me.

"Frank and Zoe, are you hurt?" I asked, rolling over to my stomach so it was easier to get up.

"I shall live," Zoe said. She didn't even sound winded. "You need to work on our landings."

"I'm starting to think I don't have a choice in that," I responded. "That theme song thing has never happened before."

"It has with me," Frank said, sounding exhausted. "Remember that LEGO universe I told you about?"

"Huh," I said reflectively. "So if the universes we are jumping into are made up universes in our own universe, does anyone recognize this one?"

"I do! I do!" Estelle exclaimed excitedly. "Peter would play it for us when Smelly Gabe was gone! It's Phineas and Ferb!"

"Who are Phineas and Ferb?" Frank asked.

"They are boys who have lots of fun during the summer!" Estelle was practically jumping now. "Can we go find them and see what they're gonna do today?"

"I don't see why not," I answered. "We should take a few minutes to relax a little. If we're in a kid's show, it shouldn't be too dangerous, right?"

"I do not know what we are talking about," Zoe finally spoke up.
