Part ten

You layed in your new bed in your new home with your new soon to be husband

You both agreed that you'd sleep in different beds, you couldn't help but feel like you had to stay awake

It had been a few days, close to a week of the "relationship"

One day, out of the blue.. dandy walked into your room with a silk robe on and asked you to take a bath with him

"Excuse me?"
You asked
"Are you forgetting the arrangement?"

"You're the only one in this house worth a damn"
Dandy said

You stood up from the bed, dandy guided you to a room

It had a bathtub and a small stage in it

You looked inside the tub, it was red

"Why... is it red?"
You asked

"It's blood"
Dandy went straight to the point

"Excuse me?"
You asked, clutching your dress

"It's blood, now get in the tub"
He said

"Erm- no thanks"
You said

"No!"
He shouted
"Marriage includes children. So i need you to get in the tub"

"That's.. not how it works"
You said

"Is it not"
He asked

"Yeah"
You said
"You don't just sit in a bathtub and an baby appears"

"Leave"
Dandy said
"I'll figure it out on my own"

You nodded and walked off

You sat by your desk in your room, you pulled out a notepad and pen

"To Jimmy,

You were the light of my life, my star, my sun.
My angel.
My heart belongs to you. It will always be yours, not dandy's, not no one else's. Only yours.
I wish and hope you get better, i hope you are freed from this curse. Sooner rather than later.
If you come to the decision that you are no longer in love with me and you prefer the other lady, i won't be angry. I'll have to move on and would respect your decision.
But please, if you still love me.. tell me.

You ripped the page out of your notebook and held it in your hands. You re-read it over and over

You got up, walked through the grand house and stepped in dandy's car

You drove to the circus and got out

You found jimmy

"Oh god"
He said when he saw you
"I've missed you-"

"Spare me your pity"
You sighed, you passed him the envelope
"Bye, jimmy. It was a good run"

"Where have you been?"
He slurred, holding your arm

"I-"
You choked up on your tears
"I... have to marry dandy. Everything went south after you started loving the bottles more than me.. loving that girl more than me. I still had hope for you.. for us! Then that girl came along and you liked her better"

You wiped away your tears, Jimmy put his hand on your cheek to soften the emotion pouring out of your eyes

"I-"
You inhaled sharply
"I need to go, dandy will be getting worried"

You walked away, sirens could be heard

"Jimmy darling, your under arrest for killing four innocent house wives"
An officer said, pulling him in a car

"No wait- you can't take him away"
You said
"He hasn't done anything wrong"

The police officer pushed you away

"Sorry ma'am"
He said
"But there's evidence"

The car drove off with Jimmy screaming in the car

"I- I've got to go"
You announced to the surrounding air, you walked away and climbed into dandy's car

You arrived at his mansion not long later, you opened the door and sobbed

"Woah, woah?"
Dandy approached you
"Where did you go?"

"I went to deliver a letter"
You sniffled, you longed for the embrace of another human
"Can i-?"

Dandy pulled you in a hug, you sobbed

"Thank you"
You mumbled, he smelt nice

You woke up in your grand bed in your beautifully decorated room

A table on wheels was sat next to your bed, it had breakfast on it

You sat up and started to eat, there was nothing better to do

You finished the plate in quick time and layed back down in your bed

You were depressed, you hated every moment of your new miserable life. You loved it when you were with Jimmy. Every moment was like sweet candy that you couldn't get enough of

Living with dandy was.. nothing like that. It was cold.. distant...

There was no spark.. no nothing between dandy and you

Over recent days he had shown you a little more affection like a couple should do.. well what he thought couples should be like

You were sat having dinner with him, he was watching you eat

"It's obvious you've never been in a relationship before"
You said
"You don't just.. watch someone eat and expect something to happen"

He tilted his head

"But that's how it works on the movies"
He said

"Look, I'll tell you what. You free Jimmy from prison and I'll make this relationship work"
You said

"Jimmys in prison?"
He laughed

"Yeah, for something you did"
You said

"Hah! Priceless"
Dandy smiled

"Get him out of prison, and I'll make this relationship work"
You repeated, more stern and louder

"Show me something first"
He said
"Proof that you'll make this relationship work"

You stood up and walked around to dandy, you ran your finger along his jaw and pressed your lips against his

You were about to pull away, dandy grabbed your dress and kept you in the kiss

"No- no, dandy!"
You pulled your head away, he let go
"Now get Jimmy out of jail!"

Dandy stood up and walked out of the room

"Oh goodness"
You groaned, you realised even if Jimmy gets out of prison that you'd still have to marry dandy
