On Tour with R5!

Chapter One: Introduction

So this is how the story starts. My name is Maddie and I’m an author. I’ve just graduated from College and am currently writing my second book. Well actually currently, right at this moment I’m sitting on a sun lounge at the Lynch’s with Rydel. I had been best friends with the Lynch’s from the moment I could talk! Our parents had been best friends since high school so we’ve pretty much all been raised together. Although I’m Ross’ age (he’s now 18) I’m still close with everyone. And then when Ratliff joined the group we instantly became friends. You can’t not like him!

To make things easier I’ll explain my relationship with the Lynch kids separately. First there’s Riker. He’s like a big brother to me. Being an only child, I still get the big family feeling with the Lynch’s. Riker is probably the best at giving advice and he always knows just what to do or say whenever I need help.

Next is Rydel. She’s basically my sister! We’re incredibly close and have so much in common. And well, let’s just say if you put us on a football field against the boys... We’d DOMINATE!

After that is Rocky. We have a weird relationship. Like everyone else, we’re extremely close. I can tell him anything! But we have this weird joke where we’re always rude to each other. Like for example when Rocky came outside this morning the first thing he said was “EW, you’re here again!?” But that was right before pulling me into a tight hug. Rocky always knows just what to say to make me or anyone laugh.

Then there’s Ross. Ross is overall my best friend in the whole wide world. He doesn’t just know everything about me, he knows me better than I know myself! And before you ask, no, I do not secretly have a crush on Ross. We’re completely capable of being best friends without liking each other. Plus I actually have a boyfriend, named Evan. But I’ll get to him later.

Lastly, there’s Ryland. We’re really close. We always spend so much time together at R5 concerts while R5 are rockin’ out! I always help him with the merch stand and with all the instruments. Then when all the hard work is done, we dance around backstage and may I add, we’re pretty good!

I should probably talk about my relationship with Ratliff too. When I first met him, I knew he would be perfect for R5. He just has that type of personality that makes you like him! We’re also pretty close. Kelly’s great too! I don’t see her as often because she’s busy with college and her artwork though.

And well Mark and Stormie are basically like my second parents, they’re incredible!

Now for Evan. He’s been my boyfriend for two and a half years. He’s the best boyfriend ever. He’s thoughtful, sweet, romantic, and funny, the list goes on and on. He’s not friends with the Lynch’s though. In fact, I think he gets a bit jealous of them... Anyway, I met Evan at Starbucks one day. I was just sitting at a table by myself and he came over and introduced himself. We instantly hit it off! I even live with him, which was a huge step for me to show him how much I trust him. He wasn’t too upset when I told him I was going on tour with R5 though; maybe he finally understands that R5 are really close to me. Plus I will fly back to see him when R5 get a break on the tour.

Okay, now back to where I am. At the Lynch’s house.

Next thing I knew, Ross walked outside.

“Oh look who it is! Ross decided to show himself” I yelled from across the pool. (Ross recently decided to move out and get his own apartment. He still goes to the Lynch’s house every day. He just needed a bit of independence. Don’t worry; he’s still just as close with his family.)

“Oh, hi to you too Maddie” Ross replied sarcastically.

I ran up to him and gave him a big hug.

“We’re going on tour!!”

We held hands and stated jumping in a circle. I can’t lie; I really was excited to be going on tour with them. It would be such a fun adventure.

SPLASH!

Rocky had just pushed us both in the water.

“I have wanted to do that all day!” Rocky said jokingly.

“You’re so hilarious. Now help me up!” I said, with a plan up my sleeve.

“Nope, I’m not falling for that one. Ha-ha.” Damn.

Before I knew it, Rocky was in the pool too.

“Good one Riker!” Ross said, going up to high five Riker.

Oh poor unsuspecting Riker… Ross grabbed his arm and in came Riker. Ryland and Rydel had gotten the picture and were not falling for any pranks. They had the water guns loaded and ready to shoot.

Before we knew it, a water fight had broken out. I ran and hid behind the garden shed but a few seconds later I felt arms wrapped around me so I couldn’t move. It was Rocky.

“Hahaha Surrender!” Riker said, trying to mock an evil villain’s accent.

“Never!”

“Ooh, bad choice”

I was met with water being squirted in my face.

The game lasted about 20 minutes longer until we all couldn’t be bothered chasing each other. We all then collapsed on the grass.

Stormie suddenly appeared.

“Oh my stars! You all look so tired! Maddie, are you going to stay for tea? Your parents are coming over.”

“No thanks Stormie. Evan said he wanted to take me out for dinner.”

“Ooh la la!” Ross cooed.

I smiled to myself. Everything was perfect.

Well for now anyways...
