Monday 7th September 7:45am The time has finally come around for my first day of high school. My brother came in to wake me up, he's starting freshman year and he's really excited to get going.
Kol "Can you please get up, Dad's giving us a ride on the way to work and I don't want to be late and I doubt he does either"
Juliette "Yeah I'll get up in a minute, can you leave please so I can actually get ready"
Kol "Yeah yeah, just hurry up"
I sat on my phone for a bit checking all my messages, most were "good luck" from my friends. When I managed to drag myself out of bed I went to the bathroom to sort myself out and try to make myself look presentable.
I must have gone through at least ten outfits before I finally settled on one I thought was okay for the weather and to make me look like I have some sort of fashion sense.

It took me longer than I expected to get ready so I had to skip breakfast. We all said bye to my mum and got in the car.
The ride felt like forever and it was making me more nervous the closer we got to school. When we got there Kol practically jumped out of the car, I don't understand how he's so excited, this is terrifying.
I followed behind him as we made our way to the principal's office, and there waiting were two students who I figured were going to be the ones helping me and my brother throughout the day.
The principal was lovely and I think she liked us both, she definitely didn't forget to mention how much she loved our accents.
When she was done giving us the rundown of what to expect and how to behave, she introduced us to the two students that were sitting outside her office.
The student helping me is called Nicolas, he is rather energetic but he seems like a nice person. I guess I got lucky having such a friendly person to help me out today. After the formalities with the principal we left and the proper conversations started.
Nick "Okay so as you already know, my name is Nick, when I heard there was a transfer student I jumped at the offer to help out. I love meeting new people so this is a great opportunity. I'm sorry what was your name again, I kind of zoned out when Mrs Larson was talking, she has such a monotone voice"
Juliette "Haha I guess she does, my name is Juliette, thank you for offering to help out today. Honestly I was so nervous to start but having a student with me has made me much more comfortable"
Nick "Oh that's great! You have a lovely name by the way, it really suits you. So your first lesson is maths with Mr Sommers, which just so happens to be the same class as me! We can sit together if you'd like"
Juliette "Yes that would be great! Maths on a monday morning however is not so great"
Nick "You're damn right about that, but the teacher isn't so bad so it won't be that boring, I hope"
