Chapter Seven - Call incoming

Thursday 10th September

I woke up today from the impact of a pillow hitting my face at the hand of my brother.

I fell asleep straight after Chris left last night because I was so drained. I managed to miss all of my alarms this morning which is why Kol resorted to a violent awakening.

I had graphic design and science this morning, both were okay but I'd much rather still be at home sleeping.

I couldn't find anyone at dinner and none of them were answering the group chat so I decided to chill in the library.

The library has these really comfy bean bags placed randomly around the bookshelves. I grabbed a random book and sat on one of the bean bags that was pretty hidden to the rest of the library. I used this as an opportunity to get a little extra sleep in.

The bell suddenly jolted me awake. I had just enough time to put the book back on the shelf and speed walk to history.

I sat in the same place as last time and got my books out, Mr Henderson soon started the lesson. Ten or so minutes had gone by and Chris was still nowhere to be seen, I guess he's at home sleeping. I wouldn't mind being in his shoes right now.

On the way to last period I saw Aidan at his locker which reminded me that I needed to message Alahna. I didn't bother stopping to talk to Aidan because I was kind of in a rush and I don't want to risk being late to any lessons in my first week.

Alahna

Juliette: Heyyy, you still up for shopping tn?

Alahna: BRO ofc!!! I'm so excited. Meet me in the parking lot after last period, I'll drive us to your house:)

Juliette: Okie dokie, can't wait to see u!

Maths went by pretty quick which was great because now it's home time!! As much as I'm enjoying school, I cannot wait to leave it today.

I made my way to the exit and looked out for Alahna, she was waving at me from her car. I walked over to her and put my bag in the backseat.

She played Doja Cat the entire way to my house. I don't normally listen to her but I enjoy her music when I hear it. We both sang along to all the songs, it was such a cute moment, I really feel like I'm making some great friends.

She pulled up just outside my house, we grabbed our things and made our way inside.

Juliette "Hey mum!! I'm home early, I got a ride with my friend Alahna!"

I shouted out loud enough so that my mum would be able to hear. I don't normally get home until almost five so it would probably scare her if she heard the door open at this time.

Alahna "Your house is so pretty!"

Juliette "Haha you have my mum to applaud for that, she's a little obsessed with interior design"

My mum was in her room and had begun making her way downstairs after hearing me shout.

Mum "Hey honey, hello...I'm sorry I didn't catch what Jules called you"

Alahna "That's okay, I'm Alahna, nice to meet you"

Mum "A pretty name for a very pretty girl, I'm Sophia"

Alahna "Thank you so much"

Juliette "Would it be okay if we all go to the mall at some point tonight? You offered to take me shopping for the party and Alahna needs an outfit too so I figured she could come with us"
