"You didn't give a shit all my life. Don't fucking start now."

Takeomi sighed, leaning his head against his headboard. He never cared, Senju was right about that. But, still, why was he thinking about the fight?

It happened an hour ago. Senju had already taken his bike and rode off again, god knows where, point is, she'd already left. He was just sitting on his bed in his room, replaying the conversation over and over.

Why? He didn't get it. What she said didn't bother him, after all, it was true. He didn't know why he was so hung up on it, but one thing was for sure. Something had changed.

Why had Senju taken up for Mikey? Takeomi couldn't help but wonder. Yes, he now knew she was the one who broke his toy, but that still doesn't make sense as to why she was so pissed off at Takeomi.

Did she hope, somewhere deep, deep down, that he would realize just how horrible of a person/parental figure he really was? What would have happened then? Nothing, most likely.

Takeomi did want to become better, but he knew his siblings wouldn't care. They'd already seen him for who he truly was, they'd already experienced their childhoods with him. There was no changing their minds.

Just like how there was no chance of Senju and Sanzu rekindling their relationship.

The Akashi family just couldn't be together. That was proven when Sanzu cut them off. That was proven when Senju took off. That was proven when Takeomi just let them go.

They just weren't meant to be happy with each other. They couldn't be.

It was sad, yes, but Takeomi had already dug this grave for him and his siblings when he became their parental figure, knowing damn well he'd be terrible at it.
_______

Senju had stolen Takeomi's bike and rode off for the second time that day. Where? To Wakasa. Someone who proved to actually care. Someone she saw as a real big brother.

The day Wakasa came into Senju's life was the day Takeomi had been replaced as an elder brother.

Finding a place to park, Senju saw Wakasa's odd striped hair. She relaxed, walking up behind him.

"Hey" She said, causing him to turn around, a bit surprised.

He looked down at her, brows furrowed. "What are you doing here?" He asked, to which Senju sighed and shrugged.

She plopped down on a chair nearby, waving at Benkei, who eyed her as well.

Their eyes trailed from Senju to each other, a knowing but curious look on both of their faces.

"Didn't know where else to go."
_______

As Mikey rode his bike home, he smiled at the memories he'd made.

He was right, Senju was a good friend.

After their talk, they rode each other's motorcycles for a while, then visited Baji's grave. Something Mikey hadn't done in a few weeks.

Senju paid her respects, while Mikey silently stared at her, wondering if she meant it. The expression on her face confirmed his suspicions.

After that, they talked a bit more, and rode each other's bikes to Senju's home.

He said bye to her as she went inside, bending down to adjust his boot. His ankle was killing him, as it had been since the gang fight.

He heard bits and pieces of a conversation, but paid them no mind.

Though, when Mikey had gotten back on his motorcycle, and was about to drive off, he saw Takeomi and Senju's tense atmosphere through their open kitchen window. He stayed where he was for a minute, able to hear their conversation.
