The trooper drove us to a farm. He stopped in front of it and we got out. "Say hi to your dad for me." Mitchell said to Shawn. "I'm sorry, Shawn. Chet was a good dude."
"One of the best." Shawn said.
"Take care, you guys." Mitchell said. He drove away. I waved to him. The door to the house opened and we turned around. "Thank God, you're okay." He said.
"I was worried it would he bad here too. I ran into Andre outside of Atlanta, and Chet...he got killed."
"No! You're kiddin'!"
"Those things got him. Dad, I dunno whats going on."
"I'm sorry, Shawn." His dad told him. "You brought a couple guests."
"Your boy's a lifesaver." Lee said to him.
"Glad he can be a help to somebody. So, its just you and your children, then."
"Oh, not his kids. He's...well...just some guy that found them."
"Do you guys know this man?" He asked. I looked at Clem. "Yes. We do." I told him.
"Well, it looks like you hurt your leg pretty bad there." He said to Lee. Lee looked at his leg. "Yeah, its not doing so good."
"Come up on the porch and I'll take a look at it." He said. Lee sat on his porch. I sat on a hay bale with Clem. "I think we'll be okay. I trust Lee." I said to her.
"I do too, Y/n."
"What did you say your name was?" The guy asked.
"It's Lee."
"Nice to meet you, Lee. I'm Hershel Greene." Hershel said. He started wrapping Lee's leg. "How did this happen?"
"Car accident. I was getting out of Atlanta."
"That so. The news says stay."
"That was a mistake. We hit a guy, one of those things you've been hearing about. On the road."
"Who were you with? The kids?"
"No, he wasn't with us." I told Hershel.
"Then who was he with?" He asked.
"A police officer. He was giving me a ride."
"Awful nice of him. House is full up with mine. We have another displaced family of three sleeping in the barn. You and the kids are welcome to rest there for the night." Hershel told Lee. "I didn't catch your names." Hershel said to us.
"Clem-Clementine." Clem said.
"And I'm Y/n. We're siblings." I told him.
"Can't imagine what you two have been through." Hershel said. Shawn came out of the house. "So Dad, I was thinking, first thing tomorrow, we gotta reinforce the fence around the barn."
"With what happened to your friend, maybe thats not such a bad idea." Hershel said.

We were in the barn with some mattresses. Me and Clem shared a mattress. "It smells like..." Clem said. She looked at Lee. "Shit." Lee said. I started quietly laughing and Clem groaned. "I'm sorry. Shouldn't talk like that." Lee said to us.
"That was a swear." Clem told him. We stayed quiet. "I miss our parents." I said.
"Me too." Clem said to me. "How far is Savannah?"
"Pretty far." Lee told us. We started to close our eyes.

The Next Morning...
"Hey, get up." Someone said to Lee. I was already sitting up and Clem was standing. "I'm itchy." Clem said.
"Well you slept in a barn, little lady. Lucky you don't have spiders in your hair." He said. Clem was spooked and gasped. "But I bet your brother and daddy scared them all away, huh?"
"I'm not her dad. Names Lee." Lee told him.
"I'm Kenny."
"Dad, we're gonna build a fence! There's a tractor and everything!" A kid said excitedly. He ran off from the the barn. "We better get going, or we won't hear the end of it." Kenny told us. We left the barn. "That's my boy, Ken Jr. We call him Duck though."
"Duck?" Lee asked.
"Yeah. Nothin' bothers him. Like water off a duck's back, ya know."
"Thats a valuable trail lately."
"Frankly I think its because he's as dumb as a bag of hammers. But he makes up with enthusiasm."
We got to the front of Hershel's house with Duck and a woman, I assume Kenny's wife. "Katjaa, Duck, this is Lee, and uhh...what are the kids' names?" Kenny asked.
"Clementine and Y/n." Lee said.
"Clementine and Y/n."
"That is a very pretty name." Katjaa said to Clementine.
"Well, we better get to work. The faster we get this fence up, the better." Shawn said.
"I wanna build a fence." Duck said, smiling. I smiled too. "Maybe you can be his foreman." I said to Duck.
"You can sit on a tractor and yell at me whenever I take a water break."
"On a tractor? Cool!"
"Duck and I'll hop to it." Shawn said.
"I can keep an eye on Clementine for a while. We can visit." Katjaa said.
"Why don't you help Shawn, Y/n." Lee suggested.
"Sure thing." i said.
