You woke up with a smile on your face. That hasn't happened in a long time, so it was a surpise even to you. You slept so soundly and you dreamt about your.....it wasn't a date. No. It was just you and Ari hanging out. Even with all the touching and hand holding and moment on the Ferris Wheel.
It was just.......hanging out. And you were fine with that. It was nice and exactly what you needed.
You got out of bed and petted Gentleman before heading to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. Your dad was working a night job so he either wouldn't be home yet or already asleep. He had another night job tonight as well, so you wanted to keep quiet the best you could.
You decided to make some breakfast.

Ahri woke up with a smile in her face. She sat up and stretched as the sunlight shined into her room through the window. She couldn't stop thinking about the night before and how nice it was to spend that time with you. She looked to Kuma and stared at it for a while. She then hugged it tightly with a massive smile. It may have not been a date, but she didn't care. It was still fantastic.
She got out of bed and decided to take a shower to wash up. She sang as she washed her hair, something she hadn't done in years. Once she was done, she kept singing into the brush she used to brush her hair and tail like it was a microphone. She even danced a bit too.
Once she was done, she decided to get some breakfast.

You sat at the table and ate while you scrolled through your phone. Mostly looking at your socials which consisted of hockey players and your friends. You scrolled a bit further and caught the beginning of a headline."Pop Sensation Has New...."
You stopped when the front door opened. You closed the app as your dad walked into the kitchen looking absolutely tired. Must've been a long night.
Y/N: Hey, old man. You just get back?
Dad: Not entirely. I came back earlier but I got a call so I had to pick some things up.
Your dad set down a few bags of groceries which confused you. Why did you need more stuff? Your dad took a deep breath before taking a seat across from you.
Dad: Your mom is coming home this weekend.
You lifted your head and looked at him in surpise. You swallowed the cereal that was in your mouth before you nodded.
Y/N: Yeah? Well.....cool.
Dad: I know this is last minute, but she wanted to make one of your games.
Y/N: No, it's cool. Honest. I'm excited to see her again.
Your dad didn't seem entirely convinced. You really didn't hate your mother, but you barely ever spoke to her. With her working in such a vastly different time zone and never being home.....maybe this place wasn't really her home.
Your parents were still married, yes, but she really was a stranger to you. More like your dad's girlfriend he never brought around. And then it was weird when she was here.
But, you can't really say that she didn't care, or that she didn't try.
You just wish it was enough sometimes.
Dad: So, how was your date last night?
That....that brought a smile to your face. The worries of your mother coming back washed away as you told your dad about how last night went.
It wasn't a date, but it was something.

Ahri hummed to herself as she made her way downstairs. She felt like she was walking on air. She had already sent you a text, but she didn't want to come off as too clingy. She wanted to ease into whatever this might become.
