You sat at the table like every morning, only this time Victoria was here. Eating. Trying to make conversation with you.

Victoria: So, Ahri, she looks familiar. Have I met her before?

Y/N: I doubt it.

Victoria: She's very pretty. Very sweet too.

Y/N: Yeah.

Victoria:......how are Rakan and Xayah doing? I didn't see them last night?

Y/N: They're good.

Victoria watched you eat with a distant stare. She looked to your dad who simply shrugged. He wasn't about to tell you to stop turning her away. This was between you and her. He will not interfere.

Victoria: Well, do you have any plans for today?

Y/N: Me and Ahri are hanging out.

Victoria: Oh! Again? That's nice. I'm glad that you're getting back out there.

You looked at her while your father stopped drinking his coffee with wide eyes.

Y/N: What do you mean by that?

Victoria looked between you and your father before clearing her throat.

Victoria: I just meant that I'm happy that you're seeing someone again.

You narrowed your eyes before you stood up, grabbing your phone and walking towards the door.

Y/N: See you when I get home, Dad.

Victoria and your dad both sat there until they heard the door closed. Victoria sat there, confused by why you were suddenly so angry. She was just happy that you were meeting new people and forming new relationships.

She sighed and set her fork down, turning to your dad.

Victoria: What am I doing wrong?

Your dad sat there for a moment before he set the newspaper down and took a deep breath, trying to find the words he was looking for. He wanted to offer help while also leaving the two of you to find your own way to each other.

Dad: If I'm being frank, love, you have missed most of his life. You're practically a stranger to him.

Victoria: I know. That's why I'm trying....

Dad: You can't just expect him to accept you after you've been so absent.

Victoria sat there. She knew he was right. She absolutely knew that there was truth in his words. That was why she was trying to have some kind of relationship with you.

She looked at her breakfast before she came up with an idea. She nodded and turned to your father.

Ahri checked the time on her phone. You both agreed to meet up at 8 near the train station the night prior. She wanted to take you somewhere to help you relax away from your mother.

It was currently 7:32, but she was so eager to take you to this secret place that she came early. She was a bit surpised when she spotted you heading towards the fountain where she was waiting.

You were even more surpised to see her there. You didn't really take her as someone who was ever this early.

Y/N: Uh, morning.

Ahri put her phone away and fixed the strap of her bag. She wore a nice coat with a beanie to cover her ears in an effort to not have people notice her. Though the public now knew that you two knew each other, she still wanted you to not be bothered by fans of hers or any paparazzi.

Ahri: Good morning! Did you sleep well?

You gave a so-so hand gesture. You had gotten more sleep than usual, but not enough. Never enough. Still, it was a bit weird having a girl ask you something like that.
