Five Seconds

You were happy to see your jersey again.

You held the beautiful blue and silver jersey up and looked at your name with your number on it.

And now, on the right shoulder, was a silver "C".

Y/N: Wow. I can't believe it. I'm the Captain.

You and your friends all gathered around as you, Jinx, and Ezreal all looked at your jerseys.

Ezreal: Yeah. It was crazy that Udyr isn't able to play.

Udyr protested as hard as he could as the school's police officer dragged him out of the locker room. They had found a bunch of drugs in his locker.

The whole team watched in surpise until they were gone.

You all then turned to your coach who just shrugged.

Coach: Congrats, L/N. You're captain.

You smiled widely.

Jinx: Never took him as someone who would do that stuff.

Kayn: I know, right? Ha ha.

Kayn looked at his bag and stuffed down the rest of the drugs.

Y/N: I still can't believe that I'm actually the Captain. I'm the Captain!

You pulled the jersey over your hoodie and cheered.

Jinx: Looks good. Want me to take a picture?

Ezreal: So you can add it to your shrine?

Jinx stood up and immediately pointed at him with red cheeks.

Jinx: IT'S NOT A SHRINE, YOU ASS!

The three of you stared at Jinx who just stood there. Ezreal lifted his hands and Jinx took a deep breath.

Jinx: You almost made me lose my cool. Anyway....

You handed your phone over and Jinx took a photo. She looked at it and frowned.

Jinx: You gotta pose.

Y/N: Why do I...

Jinx: Because I'm sure you're going to send this to Ari and I want you to look nice for once in your life. Now shut up and show me that handsome smile of yours.

You decided to not argue and smiled while Jinx squatted down for a better picture. She took it and tossed your phone back to you. You tried to catch it, but it slipped through your fingers and instead landed on your shoe.

You stood there for a moment.

Y/N: MY PHONE!

Ahri was laying on the couch watching a movie her mom was in. She looked so young and full of life.

It was called "The Thrill Of The Chase". She was still beautiful.

Evelynn: Move it.

Ahri looked at her friend as she walked into the room with a bowl of popcorn. Ahri sighed and sat up enough for Evelynn to sit down.

While Evelynn got comfortable, Ahri felt her phone go off. She dug into her pocket and pulled it out.

She opened the message to see the photo Jinx took of you.

Ahri found herself staring at it for a while. While you weren't in the nicest clothes, literally a jersey over a hoodie with messy hair, your smile and poster kept her eyes on you.

She found her cheeks heating up as she made guesses as to why you had sent it to her. She read the text that you had sent with it that explained how you were Captain, but what made her cheeks go full red was what you added to the end.
