JHS4TB: Chapter Eight

Nerves were rolling through my body, knowing that Harry was sitting, waiting to see me dance…Well, I mean he was here to see everyone dance but…I mean…Ugh, I have a crush on Harry, I know I do but I don’t want to. Does that even make sense? Harry just has so many problems and I don’t want to add to them, by possibly making his family hate him. Also, as selfish as it sounds, I don’t want Harry to ruin me more. Like, he tried to kill himself once in the past. What if I do something that triggers him? I would never forgive myself; I would never allow anyone to forgive. What if he ends up killing himself? Leaving me behind with nothing but wondering what I said to set him off. Is it worth it? Is Harry even gay? Bisexual? Pansexual? Does he like me? Does he find me sexually attractive? Does he want to have sex with me? Does he think my butt is too big? Does he think it could get bigger? Does he want it bigger? “OH MY GOD! He hates my arse!” Everyone turned to look at me, their eyebrows raised before they went back to getting ready; I was already in my costume. Lucy was having his top tied while he wiggled into the skirt part of our duo outfit, his hip hop shoes on, he smiled at me.

“No one can hate your arse, Boo, unless they are jealous. But too be honest, most people are jealous of it and they still cannot hate it.” I nodded my head, thinking over what Lucian had said; I guess I would have to believe him. A guy walked in with a bouquet of flowers and gave them to Jaymi, kissing him on the cheek and wishing him good luck. It was Olly, Jaymi’s boyfriend, who is here because he is/was a kleptomaniac (he liked to steal things…a lot). I thought it was supremely sweet that Olly bought Jaymi flowers; I wish I had a boyfriend to buy me flowers; Stan never bought me flowers in the time we were fucking. Come to think about it, I don’t like flowers all that much, expect for Tiger Lilies; the wild ones. I was dressed, I was nervous, it was opening night and I was going on in two minutes. Thriller was an easy dance for me, I knew it like the back of my hand and all the other dancers were great. I start off walking out on the stage with this guy named Aiden; we were fooling around and shoving each other as we walked through a cemetery. We did random dance movies, just completely fooling around (it was planned), just dancing around until a wolf howled. Aiden froze and I ‘laughed’ at him, smiling and imitating a wolf to scare him as I continued to dance no care in my mind at all. At the first chorus, a few zombies showed up and dance with me and more continued to join as the show went on. All the makeup for the zombies was done by a local make up artist, she did makeup for showcases and plays, her name was Lou. They looked amazing, the zombies that is, it was really cool. When my dance number was done, we all quickly bowed and left the stage, I was already working my outfit off as I ran into the dressing room. Through my costume at Justin, he was in control of wardrobe, a nice bloke he was. Lucy rushed up to me, quickly lacing and tying the top part of duo dance, before helping me wiggle into the skirt. I was dressed in no time flat with Lucian’s help; he had always been a fast dresser (or as long as I’ve known him anyway). Our cue came and we took our positions a smile on our faces as the curtain rose in front of us and the announcer said our names and the title of the dance. We executed Want You Back as good as we could, which was pretty damn amazing if I could toot my own horn, which I do. When the number was finished, we bowed and headed off the stage, kicking our feet up to hit us in the bums as we did so. Lucy and I shucked our costumes, handing them to Justin, thankfully to be done wearing them for today. I help Lucian into his white outfit and I fixed his auburn hair, before I went and checked on the boys’ blood placement. Making sure it was already opened a little, tapped well so it wouldn’t fall off and so on. I help Lucian mental prepare, I go over his final checks on his solo acts, he gets way too nervous about performing by himself to do it. I remind him to look as evil as he can during the murdering parts, it is critical to the selling of the dance number, to making it as scary as possible. While Lucian was performing his dance, I washed all the makeup off my face, I also got a tube of warm soapy water, so I could help Lucy get the blood off a soon as possible. We realized the other day at rehearsals that if Lucian left the blood on too long, he got really itching and started getting hives. The dance finished and Lucy was the first one into the dressing room, giving the clothes to Justin (who said they would be reused one day, for a play or something) and rushing over to me, where I started to wipe the blood off of him. I also wiped George and Jaymi down, both of them had gotten blood on them by accident (from laying on the floor while the blood was being squirted).
