"WHAT'S UP, BITCHES?" xiomara walked between the brunette and raven-haired girl, putting one arm around them each.

"did you know there's a senior text chain and we're not on it?" gia immediately asked.

"uh yeah," when the two other girls looked at mara in disbelief, she was quick to speak again, "i didn't know you guys weren't on it though."

"let me see." gia snatched mara's phone from out of her hand.

mara just rolled her eyes. if it had been anyone else to do that, they'd have at least a bloody nose by now. but the girl became tolerant of gia and erika.

"oh my god, look at all this shit we missed." the brunette scrolled through the phone, "we missed kickbacks, ragers, daygers, a hoedown, and the lowdown on why everyone is wearing green."

gia looked down at xiomara's outfit; a very light green dress that only went down to mid-thigh that also had little white flowers on it, "you too?"

"mhm. you whores missed all of that, not me though." she shook her head with an amused smile.

"whatever. the point is, we have missed out on the high school experience."

"who's we?" mara asked.

gia ignored her and continued, "all we have to show for is our education. and that is why we're going to jake's party."

"i have everything but education to show for." mara laughed to herself.

"which jake?" erika asked.

"the tall one."

"they're all tall."

"the one who set himself on fire.

"jake w? so no."

"your imaginary husband will be there." the dark haired girl in the green dress chimed in, pointing over to jake c.

erika immediately pushed xiomara's hand down.

"all three jake's have rsvp'd. 'yes' or 'yo', depending on the jake. i'm adding our names to the text chain."

"i'll think about it." with that, erika walked away, gia and mara quick to follow.

gia said some more shit that mara couldn't care less about, "-which means this is our last chance to get a prom date."

"i already have a prom date." mara shrugged.

that was a whole lie.

"gia, we are this close to finishing high school without getting dragged on social. we have been so lucky. minus freshman orientation, we've had no epic fails."

"or epic wins." gia said.

"this conversation is getting boring." mara groaned, "bye whores, see you at the party. or not."

XIOMARA RUIZ arrived to jake w's part at approximately 10:32 p.m.  she had no idea if gia and erika actually showed, but who cares?

"hey, slut." riley greeted, a soft smile on her face.

"hi, bitch."

riley and xiomara have been friends since their sophomore year. they weren't all that close, and they had a love-hate sort of friendship, but everyone knew that they were friends.

they were an iconic duo, despite hardly being together.

"where's hellen who? you know, your best friend." riley said bitterly.

mara wasn't quite sure why riley was so hateful towards her and erika's friendship. sure, she knew why she didn't like erika, but she never knew what that had to do with her and erika being friends.

"her name is erika vu. and i'm not sure. i'm not even sure she showed up or not."

"defending her?" riley laughed, taking a drink from her red solo cup before speaking again, "you're already her little bitch. and i'm not surprised, this isn't exactly her scene anyway."

xiomara knew her cup was filled with alcohol, and that she was drunk. she didn't know what she was saying.

that was why she decided to just walk away instead of saying or doing anything else.

sure, she was riley's friend, but more than that, she was one of erika's best (and only) friends.

"oh," xiomara bumped into gia.

she saw that erika was with her.

"hey, so y'all came?"

"yep." erika said, hesitation in her voice.

"good for y'all." she smiled, "what are you just standing there for? lets party, hoes!"

"YEAH, FUCK HIM." xiomara's words were slurred as she spoke.

the freshman who sat beside her, wide eyed, as she spoke.

"no, because who did that- that s-slut think he is? he can't just ask me for my number and then never text me! like what's even the fucking point then?"

"y-yeah, you're right." the small freshman nodded ferociously, "who did that slut think he is."

"thank you for understanding, jacob."

"my name is-" the kid began, "never mind."

XIOMARA LOOKED DOWN at her phone as she stumbled out the front door of jake w's house.

she stumbled around out of his front yard clumsily and drunkenly. she tripped over her own feet a few times already.

she walked to jake's party, so she figured she could walk back.

however, when she walked to jake's party, she wasn't drunk and she walked alongside lea, who was also going to the party.

xiomara let out heavy breaths as she walked right in the middle of the road.

mara hated woods. absolutely hated.

that's why she walked in the middle of the road, to avoid walking right next to the woods where anyone could just pop out and snatch her up.

suddenly, the girls' phone started ringing. she pulled her phone out of her pockets to see that it was from her mom.

she was just about to answer, but she looked up to see bright headlights flashing in her face and what had to be at least a thousand pound moose.

it was too late to move or take any action.

everything was dark.

just darkness.

until it wasn't.
