Enma's POV

Avalon, the sheathe of the all famed Excalibur of King Arthur of old. It was said to possess the ever distant utopia that everyone seeks out.

It was no myth for I once laid eyes on the artifact itself and saw the mysteries that made it unique from others.

I don't have the artifact of course, meaning I can't exactly use said mysteries of Avalon. However, as a once in a lifetime genius, I was able to recreate a downgraded yet still functioning replica of the mysteries Avalon possess.

A burst of magicka expanded out from the twelve star-like swords I dropped around.

Mystery upon mystery slowly stacked together as anyone inside the formation froze solid. None can move as they watched a handmade work of a magician trying to recreate one of the powerful mysteries of the world.

The Ever Distant Land of Utopia.

It was named as such, and it bear the resemblance. I watched in awe and frustration knowing that this was the farthest I can go when it comes to mysteries like Avalon.

Then without so much a sound, we were in a vast land of greenery and holy light shine from above.

"This is... No! Tis a mere fake made by you, how laughable! To dare try replicate a mystery of old, you have a death wish!"

I panted over trying to catch my breath as I can feel my body screaming at me. However, I just smirked at Kraken when I heard him spoke.

"It may be a fake... But it's enough to get the job done."

'3 minutes...'

Kraken was confused for second before realization set in. He was not in the ocean anymore, the place where he drew most of his advantage from. He cannot spam magicka beams like earlier for it will drain him too much.

It wouldn't be much of a problem for him if it was only me and him here, but the thing was. We were not the only ones who were inside the formation went it was launched.

An explosion of debris from the far right said it all. A-chan was blitzing towards Kraken at much faster speeds than before. Sora was glowing even brighter as the holy light from the surrounding boosted its capabilities by notch.

Towards the left, another explosion of debris appeared as a red and blue blur sped towards Kraken. Gura was also a bit weakened due to having no water to use inside the formation, but that wouldn't be a problem for her in that state.

Meanwhile, a different kind of explosion happened around me as the grass beneath my feet started withering.

Pink flames once more combusted and surrounded my form but the scythe was nowhere to be seen.

This time, instead of using the scythe to manipulate the flames, a pair of gloves surrounded my hands.

Black and red in color, along with a motif of ebony white skull printed at the palm and back of the hand. It was something I worked on when I thought for a time when I can't use the scythe.

"Alright, better get this over with--"

Before I could finish my words, a scream of pain cut through the air like a sharp knife. And then stabbed me through the heart as I knew whose voice was that.
