Chuuya was a 15 year old boy. He had a more femmine built his rare ginger hair longer on one side, laying gently on his left shoulder. His ocean blue eyes overall making his face look like a doll's. His parents thought that god had blessed him and was grateful for that. Running in the fields, reading books at the nearby library, that was the normal things Chuuya would do. Everywhere he went, he would be the centre of attraction. All eyes will be on him. Chuuya never liked or hated the overehelming attention given to him at such a young age. He lived happily with his family ans friends. That really was all that mattered to him. His family wasn't really well-off either. His mother was a house wife while his father worked as a hawker vendor. His father's job was just enough to pay the bills and get them simple 3 meals everyday. Sadly, as time passed, the hawker centre became less crowded since the new restraunt came into town. 3 meals turned to 2. Deapite that, Chuuya tried his best to stay optimistic. His friends were also very kind to check on him and offer help if needed after they knew his unfortunate plight.
It was just another sunny yet windy day where Chuuya was hanging out with his friends. It was all just laughs and fun until a girl who seemed like she was from the opposite town came hesitantly into the group. She went right up to Chuuya and she stared at Chuuya curiously. Chuuya obviously was stunned at her action and shifted at his spot. His friends also finding it weird wanted to stop the strange girl but Chuuya gestured for them to stop. After assuring that Chuuya was the right person she stood up straight, bowed respectfully and shly apologised for her actions before. "I apologise for my actions but I just wanted to ask whether it's true that you're getting married this Saturday." Chuuya, upon hearing that, stood up, wide-eyed. He let out a big, loud 'HUH?!' with the girl covering her ears while backing away. Chuuya turned to his friends to see the same shocked expression but instead all of them were looking down regretfully.
He demanded for an explanation which one of his friends, Yuan, replied,"We all knew... Sorry we didn't tell you. Your parents didn't want you to know... "Her voice was full of worry. Chuuya calmed himself down as he saw the others nod their heads awkward. "Anyone know who i'm getting married to? "Chuuya asked, hoping to have that person be someone he knew. All of them glanced at each other and shook their heads.
The girl who brought the topic up excused herself and ran hastily away, probably from feeling regretful for bringing the 'secret' up. Chuuya sighed in frustration. He metally counted back and realised that there were only 2 days left till Saturday. He cursed under his breath as his parents has not told him about the marriage. He didn't even know he was his partner. Was his parents going crazy? He looked at his friends worriedly as a silver -haired boy spoke up, "Keep away from the sun."
"Your parents must have sold you. Few months ago, Tachihara's parents sold him for $800." another one spoke up.
"Kouyou's sold her for $1000!" the others continued as they started discussing the issue.
Being attractive in every way must have been added to the list along with being called smart for Chuuya. His price definitely would be above $1000,maybe $1500 or even $2000! His father's father hopes settled on his precious son. Chuuya felt his heart shatter, how could his parents sell him? Were they all just acting that they loved him? That was just unacceptable. Chuuya'a friends, upon notcing Chuuya frown, immediately stopped their discussion and dragged him to the cake shop nearby to buy a cake to cheer him up. They couldn't do anything now but to just comfort him.
