2 months later.....
Two months had now passed since me and Aaron had began the truce, and I myself felt less stressed and more cheerful. Aaron had been bringing me coffees every time we were on a case and I also tried to bring him coffee when I could, and we had been talking a bit more. We weren't close friends but we were friends. Everything was going great except the part were I hadn't told Aaron that he is Aria's dad. And I also hadn't told Nathan about my truce with Aaron, I didn't want him worrying.
A lot had happened these two passed months to begin with David Rossi had joined the team, he was one of my dads friends and he helped us in a case back in organized crime. He was happy to be back but I can tell it has been different for him to adjust to work as a team, but he was getting there. Last month Penelope got shot, and we where able to catch the the guy who shot her, turns out it was a cop that hurted people in order to get credit and he shot Penelope in order to stop her from uncovering him. Aria made her a bunch of drawings and even send her one of her favorite toys since she couldn't go into the hospital.
Aria began calling the team uncle and auntie she would rarely see them but when she did that's what she would call them, and all of them felt so happy even Reid never thought he would be so good with kids. And me and Nathan had barley even talked the last couple of months, he was working an important case and the cases never stopped in the BAU. By example last week we just closed a case by when we where on a new one on Monday. Thankfully we where able to close it tonight perfect to spend the weekend with Aria. I had signed her up to a soccer team and she was loving it.
I was in the back of the plane listening to music and reading reading a book Reid had recommended since I had already finished my reports. Then there was a cup of tea set in front of me and I looked up and there was Aaron with a smile and a cup of coffee and he sat in front of me. "Thanks" I said as I took a sip of the tea "I hope you still like mint tea" he said "Yep still one of my favorite, look at you Hotch first you remember my coffee order and now my favorite tea you are really taking this truce for real" I said "Well you are quite unforgettable Steph" He said and I didn't know what to say so I just smiled and took another sip of my tea. "So new book?" He asked "Yeah have to read when I can Reid has another 20 books he wants me to read" I said making us laugh "I'm glad you are getting along with the team, they like having you around.... I like having you around" He said "Thanks I like being around" I said making both of us smile and he got up back to his place.
When we landed Hotch said we just had to go get our files and we would be able to work from home on the weekend. When we got inside the bullpen there was a vase with red roses and a red gift bag and I was confused. "Oh looks like Ruiz has a lover" Derek said and everyone stayed and made a circle around me as I looked for a note in the roses but nothing "If you are looking for note you won't find one beautiful" Nathan from behind the group making all of us turn around. He had let his hair grow and was wearing a button up with a leather jacket, he looked so handsome. It took me a second but I smiled and ran to his arms and he caught me and kissed me. "What are you doing here rockstar aren't you supposed to be in New York?" I asked as he put me down and I ran my hand through his hair "Well I had some time and I really missed you figured me and Jamie could come down and visit you girls"He said as he put my hair behind my ear. "Where is he?" I asked looking for him "He is back home with Aria thought I would come and surprise you" He said "Well it worked come I want to introduce you to the team" I said taking his hand.
