One month later...
After me and Nathan broke up I wasn't really upset, we stayed as good friends we talked every once a week to keep in touch which was better than when we where actually engaged. And now that I was single me and the girls had now had 3 girls night and we went to clubs and had fun. We had all gotten phone numbers from several guys. JJ got some but I notice she said no to all of them and that combined with the going away on the weekends it made me realize she had a secret boyfriend. I didn't want to tell her I knew because she was keeping it a secret for a reason. And me well I wasn't really looking to start something, I wanted to pay all my attention to Aria.
Last night Ana, Aria's nanny called me and said she had to go back home for a family emergency so she wasn't able to take care of Aria until further notice. I was fine with that Santi said he would help me take care of Aria if we had a case, or I would just ask for time off. Since today I wasn't going to have help in the morning I woke up a little earlier. I did a quick workout, showered, curled my hair, applied natural makeup and got dressed. Today I decided to wear a black fitted button up with a beige pencil skirt and black pump heels. I decided to make a quick breakfast and woke up Aria.
"Aria baby it's time to wake up" I said "I'm up mama" she said as she got off the bed and I began to dress her with a navy blue T-shirt and a blue and red flannel on top to keep her warm, jeans and her black and white vans. She decided she wanted two half pigtails which made her hair look even more curly than usual.
I had notice the past couple of days she wasn't as excited to go to school as usual so I asked while we ate our toast. "Hey sweetie I was just wondering if everything in school is okay?" I asked and she began to play with her fingers "Yeah everything is ok" she said "And you'll tell me if something not okay right?" I asked "Yes mama" she said and I kissed two fingers and put them in the air and she did the same connecting them to mine. "I love you so much don't forget that okay" I said and she just nodded.
After I dropped her off in school I went to the office because I was running a little late. "Well this is a first, you're late" Emily said "I know I know it's just today Arias nanny was out of town so I had to make her lunch and drop her off and well yeah but I'm not that late" I said as I took a sit on my desk. "Don't worry I don't think the big boss notice sweetness" Derek said "Hopefully" I said and getting straight to work.
I worked and attempted to finish my work as fast as I could to have the afternoon off. But my plans were ruined when I got a call from Arias school before lunch. "Hello" I said "Hello is this Aria's mom, Ms.Ruiz?" The woman on the other side of the phone said. "Yes that's me is everything okay?" I asked starting to get worried and the team noticed and came close to my desk "Yes everything is okay it's just we need you to come pick up Aria she got in a small fight with a classmate and she needs to go home for the day" the woman said "Oh dear is she okay?" I asked gathering my stuff. "Yes she is okay we just need you to come talk to the principal" she said "Okay I'll be there as soon as possible" I said putting on my trench coat and hanging up.
