'LET ME GO YOU FUCKING IDIOTS!!! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT MY FATHER CAN DO!!!'
I screamed for the 10,000th time banging the door. But the irony was, I myself didn't know if there was something that my father could do. Will he be able to get me out of here?
Dad looked like the 'I-can-ruin-your-life' guy but then what about the fact that the same guy's daughter got kidnapped from his own fort like residence. And the fact that Theseus for sure was the 'I-can-ruin-not-only-your-life-but-your-generations' guy?
I again let myself fall on the bed. I was stuck in some serious shit that now concerned my and Mom's life! All I wanted to do was get out of here, find Mom and get us both out of this ocean-stuff.
I lifted my upper body on both my elbows and looked at the huge glass wall in front of me. Yeah. I was thinking about doing 'it'. So what if I didn't know swimming? I could still breath underwater.
'Are you planning to break the glass with your gaze?' I didn't even realize when that cruel man entered the room. I got up from the bed and said while taking urgent steps towards him 'Listen, you mad man. I am done with this whole Ionia-thing, okay? I have no intentions of having any throne! Hell, things like this don't even interest people like me who belong to the land! Let me go and I'll go back to the land with my Mom, live the life that I'm supposed to live and you can live yours!'
I ended my speech with an expectant smile on my face and he gazed at my face for few moments, pretending that he's thinking about my offer. 'Sorry. Not happening' and that's how I got to know that he wasn't thinking.
'You see, Gemma.....' he started saying while walking upto the bed. '......things in Ionia are far more complicated than what your mind can handle to think of.' he was now sitting on the edge of the bed, both hands softly clutching the mattress.
'Theseus.' I let out his name in a low whisper, a low and defeated tone and for a second I saw all the humour, sarcasm and mockery of my situation, swiped away from his eyes.
'At least tell me what you want from me? At least tell me what am I here for? Why did you bring me here?' I asked him, tears of frustration on the verge of slipping from my eyes.
'You are here because I could not tolerate your existence.' he got up, his form suddenly towering me. Light blue eyes boring holes in my soul.
'Me kidnapping you was an action completely ruled by rage. I didn't have a purpose, I was just completely driven by rage!' he stated in calm anger.
'You mean that you killed so many innocents including Luthar and then brought me here with you just because you were angry and didn't know what to do?!' I asked him angrily.
'Yes. But you being here is not as unnecessary as I first thought it would be.' the amusement was back in his eyes and he smirked.
'At least I can think peacefully about how to get my rights without worrying about what our fathers will be planning next. Because they cannot do anything without you.........or without the surety of your life.' he said the latter part in a low whisper and then lifted his hand to caress my cheek with the back of his hand.
I jerked his hand away and glared at him.
'Let's have dinner.' he said while moving towards the door expecting me to follow.
'And why would I dine with you?' I asked and he turned to show his filthy smirk and replied 'Because I want to keep you alive and you want to be out of this room so you can collect information for your escape attempts, which, I might add, will just be failures.'
And he knew me already. I rolled my eyes and made my way towards the door.

If Dad's palace was guarded like a fort, his was guarded like a Military area. Dangerous looking men stared at me from all the directions. They all looked savage in their own way and Theseus's respect and fear in everyone's eyes made me fear him more.
As I walked through pathways, my mind could not stop analysis of his character.
He is fierce and cruel to be able to kill innocents mercilessly just because he was taken by rage. The glint of his eyes and that signature smirk speak of him not at all being trustworthy. Of course he was subtle, his story and his passion for the throne stated that he could do anything to have it. He was powerful without any doubt, for he was a threat to the almighty King himself and master of ruthless creatures. And to top the whole list- his ways were dangerously charming.
And aren't all these characteristics used to describe Satan? Theseus's aristocratic ways, his sometimes dangerously sweet tone and the power he radiated..........these were probably what Eve must have felt about the serpent in that garden. But the thing was that I didn't feel like Eve........I felt like the fruit which will be consumed completely.
We finally reached the dinning hall.
It was a big table and of course I chose to sit on the very opposite end of his chair because that was the farthest from him. I was eating whatever they had served me and in between taking glances at him.
He was gorgeous in every manner. Be it his looks, his gestures, his tone, his voice, everything. The thing that was not gorgeous about him was the aura of danger that he had and that evil and sinful heart of his.
'You-you live alone here?' I tried to start a conversation.
'I live with my council. You'll meet them tomorrow.' he replied simply, not looking up at me.
We were again covered by silence and I chose it to remain that way. There was no non-vegetarian dish on the whole table and I was thankful for that since I was a vegan myself. It was quite funny though. Who would have thought that some day I'll be eating dishes made of sea-plants?
'Gemma.' he called out my name and I looked up completely. His looks said that he was upto something serious.
'When I have what I want, I want you to leave Ionia the very moment. I don't care about your Mom but you should be out the very moment!' he ordered as if he had the full right to.
'I will for sure, Your majesty but not before yelling the very first 'Long live the King!' for you!' I spat bitterly. His audacity was something that bothered me very much.
'I am speaking for your own good.' his tone was rough and serious. 'Because if you stay even after that, my duty as the King of Ionia will leave me with only two options- either to kill you.......or to produce an heir with you.' My eyes widened at the ease with which this shameful statement left his mouth.
'Killing a weak will be a shame to my manliness and you are the last woman in the entire world whom I'll like to mate with.' No I did not feel insulted by his tone or words. I felt hurt. Hurt in a way that I shouldn't be but I did. His one line made me feel like a pathetic person that I wasn't.
I picked up the glass of water. 'You're a pathetic person.' I said and gulped water before he could sense my choked tone.
'You're not the first one to say that and you certainly won't be the last.' was all he said without making an eye contact with me.
