The monastery was a massive complex. It was big from the outside but you couldn't tell just how large it was until you actually went inside.

Everyone was given their own rooms which was her first shock. There were way too many masters there for each of them to have their own rooms yet low and behold. There were individual rooms for all thirty or more of them.

The monastery actually kinda reminded her of a school. There were dorms, a main hall, dining area, training ground, and a courtyard. It pretty much had everything and she wondered just how many people it was originally meant for.

She got a room right next to Ice at the very end of the hallway.

The rooms were small but somehow it was bigger than her actual room back home. Everything was a dull beige and she had one window overlooking the training grounds. There were wooden dummies and all manner of targets out there just waiting to be used.

Then, she watched two people walk out there.

One guy was wearing a vest and seemed to be bald. He had bronze skin and a black mustache too. He was out there with a girl dressed in all purple. She has skin that was slightly darker than Libber's and dark brown hair.

They stood about four feet away from each other and took fighting stances. Then they ran at each other.

The girl disappeared and then reappeared behind the guy in a flash as they grappled with each other. The guy grabbed her off his shoulders and threw her down before letting out an earsplitting screech that knocked her backwards. She quickly got back up to her feet and Libber saw one of the most incredible things of her life.

Suddenly they were swirling. Like two people in a hurricane wrapped in their own power creating a personal storm for them. They spun and smashed into each other exchanging blows like it was nothing. They clashed again and again in these glowing vortexes.

"Woahhh"

A chill washed over her but she didn't even look back to acknowledge Ice.

"What is that?" She asked breathlessly.

"That, is spinjitzu." He replied. "A martial art form taught here by the first spinjitzu master that combines your body with your power."

"It's beautiful."

"Yes it is... Lightning, why exactly do you want to be a part of this so badly?" Ice asked getting right to the point.

Libber turned away from the fighters and sat down on her bed.

"I- I don't know." She replied with a shrug.

"I think you do. I think you have a reason and I don't think it's just "wanting to help people" is it?"

Libber scratched her arm uncomfortably.

"Ice I just-" she sighed "I have powers, I have powers that I've been doing nothing with ever since I got them. This war, it might be the only good thing that'll ever come from these abilities and if I have the chance to actually make everything you've taught me and everything I've trained for worth something, something good. Then I need to take it."

Ice just sat there for a moment. "Well, alright then." He stood "let's go."

"Huh?"

"You are a part of this war are you not? I had assumed you'd want to go meet your new comrades in arms."

"Hey actually I've got a question for you."

"And what might that be?"

"Why do you really not want me here? You asked why I want to be here, why do you want me to wait back home? Because I know that this isn't about the "you're a child" or "you can't fight" bullcrap because we both know that isn't true."
