"Dude, it's been two weeks. I think you should start to stop believing that she will still get back to you" Ja'Marr rolled his eyes. Joe raised his head and turned his screen away from Ja'Marr.

Training had started again since that week, it would be a few more weeks before training camp would begin, but Joe was back already anyway, getting back on track after his injury.

"I wasn't even looking for it" he grumbled at Ja'Marr, with whom he was eating lunch before it was time for Joe to head to the recovery training and for Ja'Marr to head to the training field for team training.

"Sure, you always refresh your messages five times and look at it every two seconds to see if you might not have gotten a new message" Ja'Marr grinned. "Shut up" Joe locked his phone and tossed it into his bag.

"come on bro. It's your own fault. Why did you go along with the deal in the first place?" Ja'Marr asked, sighing.

"At the time it sounded like a good idea. I found her attractive, the alcohol gave me a little too much confidence and you pushed me to go to her" Joe enumerated.

"Wohoo, I had nothing to do with that at all. I told you to go to her. I didn't tell you to agree to a deal so you wouldn't find out her real name or anything about her" Ja'Marr raised his arms innocently.

"I know where she lives" Joe objected. "Yeah, and you've been trying to find out who she is there and getting nowhere. What else are you going to do? Sit in the lobby until she comes over" Ja'Marr laughed, but stopped when Joe looked thoughtfully at the void.

"You're not really going to do that, are you? That would be really creppy and pathetic, Joe" he gave his friend a concerned look.

"Don't worry, I wasn't really planning on it. I'll just wait for her to get back to me" Joe assured him.

"Don't get too caught up in it. It's been two weeks already. If she really wanted to, she would have contacted you by now" Ja'Marr patted him on the shoulders encouragingly.

After lunch, Joe met with Nick. He was the head of rehabilitation and now in the pre season again responsible for Joe's knee, which is why they walked together through the facility to the training rooms.

They hadn't gone far when they ran into Paige, she was in charge of all the Bengals social media channels and organized and planned the posts and videos so the Bengals looked as good as possible to the outside world.

"Oh, hello you two. Nice to meet you" Paige smiled at the two. "are you guys on your way to recovery training?" she asked. Nick nodded. "And you? Looking for a new victim for a video?" Nick winked at her.

"Not yet. I'm waiting for my assistant" she grinned. "You have an assistant?" Joe asked, surprised. He didn't think being a social media representative required an assistant.

But Paige nodded. "She's Mike Brown's granddaughter, daughter of one of his sons. She's studying Public Relationships and just transferred to the UC to get her master's degree here and will assist me. Phoebe, you must know each other from her previous visits, Nick"

"I think I remember her. Never really been introduced to her though" Nick shrugged. "So you're out of a job and replaced by a Brown descendant as soon as she's done studying?" he asked with a laugh.

"No, we'll be working together then. She's really competent and very knowledgeable about all the social media stuff and trends. She's only 22" Paige explained.

"Oh, look. Here she comes" suddenly she raised her arm and waved into the hallway behind Joe and Nick, who both turned curiously.

There were many Brown descendants working in the organization, you could almost say that the browns were like the royal family of the Bengals, which is why everyone was always interested when meeting a new Brown.

When Joe saw the dark blond, brown-eyed young woman walking toward the group in jeans and a plaid blazer with a white Tshirt underneath, he first thought his brain was playing tricks on him. Surely it couldn't be. The woman coming toward them was none other than Tess.

"Glad you could make it. I want to introduce you to some people" Paige pulled her into a quick hug before pointing to Nick and Joe. "Guys, my assistant" Paige grinned as Tess extended her hand to Nick.

"Phoebe Brown, nice to meet you guys" she smiled while shaking Nick's hand before turning to Joe. Joe looked for the slightest uncertainty or shock of seeing him here in her eyes, but her smile flaunted with confidence as she shook his hand.

"I'm Nick, athletic trainer, and the speechless man next to me, is Joe" Nick nudged Joe, who was still staring in confusion at Tess, Phoebe, whatever her name was.

She was a Brown? She was the granddaughter of the man who owned everything here? She was the heiress, of the oraganization Joe played for? He had slept with a Brown?

"Joe, quarterback, right? I'm still trying to memorize all the players that are new since I last saw them" she laughed as if she hadn't been completely naked under him two weeks ago, getting fucked hard.

"When was the last time you were here?" Nick asked with interest. "oh, it's been over two years" Phoebe laughed. "For the last two years, studying has made it impossible to come over or I've been traveling, but I'm glad to finally be back and staying here too" she added.

"We're glad to hear that. It's always nice to see a Brown descendant working in the Organsiation" Nick returned her smile.

"That's our cue. Phoebe, we have work to do. But don't be too disappointed, you get to bother Joe later. He gets to pick a video to shoot" Paige put her arm around Phoebe.

"Well then, I'll see you later" Phoebe smiled at Joe before raising her hand in farewell and walking with Paige in the opposite direction.

Nick and Joe also resumed their walk. "Are you okay, Joe? You were so quiet and stared at Phoebe all the time" Nick looked at Joe worriedly from the side.

"I'm fine. Just thought I knew her from somewhere" Joe mumbled still confused from the encounter just now.

"But you weren't even here two years ago" Nick stated in surprise. Joe shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe I just got her mixed up" he muttered.
