No sooner had Phoebe entered her room at noon on Friday her last class for the week than she dropped onto her bed with a sigh. She slipped her shoes off her feet and pulled her cell phone out of her pocket when she noticed a small note stuck to her mirror.

She immediately recognized Joe's handwriting as she stood up and tore the note from off it. He had spent last night here, as he did most nights, but had gotten up after Phoebe. It was Bye Week, which meant he had the next few days off.

So it was no surprise that he took this chance to finally take Phoebe out on their announced first date, well, first trip. After the Bengals had won their game against the Steelers by a pretty big margin on Sunday, Joe had announced that he would like to spend his weekend off alone with Phoebe far away from everything.

Phoebe didn't mind. She, too, could use a break from everything here. While her family had taken the announcement of her relationship with Joe pretty well, and things were going pretty well at college, too, a little distance wouldn't hurt anyone.

The first week as Joe's official girlfriend had gone really well. The two had spent every evening together and most of the time just talking. Of course there were a few grabs here and there and sometimes they just made out for half an hour, but until now it had not gone any further.

Phoebe was sure that it would change this weekend. Especially when she read the note Joe had left her. Not wanting for anything in the world to reveal where the two of them were going this weekend, he had written her a little list of things that she should definitely pack.

Warm socks, a thick jacket, beanie, scarf, gloves, winter boots, swimwear, towels,....

Last on the list was lingerie. Phoebe had to grin. Joe had accidentally spotted the dark green lace teddy bodysuit, which was practically a sheer nothing, a few days ago that Phoebe had for some reason packed among her clothes, but had never worn. She should have known Joe would come back to it somehow.

Anticipation gave her a bit of motivation again and smiling, she pulled her suitcase out of her closet before starting to pack clothes. They would only be gone for three days, but since Phoebe didn't know what they would be doing for those three days, she had to prepare for every possibility.

Joe had told her that he would pick her up at four, and she had just finished squeezing her suitcase shut so that she could zipper it completely when the doorbell rang.

Quickly she ran down the stairs, opened the door for Joe and stormily fell around his neck. "hey" Joe laughed out and wrapped his arms around Phoebe before pushing her face up to him and placing his lips on hers.

"Ready to go?" he asked as he pulled away from her. Phoebe nodded. "Can you get my suitcase in the room while I finish getting dressed?" she asked with puppy dog eyes. Joe grinned. "Of course, baby," he pressed a kiss to her cheek before sprinting up the stairs.

Phoebe slipped into her winter boots before packing a few more things into her small backpack. Meanwhile, Joe heaved the large suitcase down the steps. "You know we're only going to be gone for three days, right?" he grinned as he rolled the suitcase next to Phoebe.

"Yeah, but I have to look my best" she shrugged her shoulders with a grin. "You probably would with half the things you have in it" Joe smiled at her. "Maybe, but I'm not taking that chance" Phoebe laughed before eyeing Joe.

"Now will you tell me where it's going?" she put on her puppy dog eyes again but Joe shook his head. "Oh come on Joe, I need to know if there's anything else I might need for the trip or if there's anything you forgot to put on the list" Phoebe begged but Joe just continued to shake his head, grabbing Phoebe's hand and her suitcase and pulling them both out of the apartment.
