HTTYD 3- HIDDEN WORLD REBOOT

No Matter the Cost PT 5

     Nightfall came and the Dragon riders were all preparing to accompany Hiccup to defeat Grimmel. Hiccup hopped onto Stormfly behind Astrid and looked at his fellow riders. H "Everyone remember the plan?" T "Wait what? No!?" The other riders groaned loudly looking at Tuffnut annoyed. A "How do you not know the plan? We went over it at least five times." T " I uh...may or may not have been sleeping." Hiccup rolled his eyes before putting his mask down. H "Let's go gang." All the riders took off following Astrid and Valka to where they saw Grimmel last.flying Tuffnut called out. T "I still don't know the plan!!!"  Flying through the thick fog they began to see ships below them that seemed empty and quiet. Flying further they came out the fog to over two dozen ships all dark and deserted looking. Astrid looked back at Hiccup before speaking. A "It looks abandoned, it was crawling with Grimmels men this morning." Hiccup sighed looking around before seeing a small sea stack that seemed to be built up into a base. H "Let's land near there, we'll sneak in and see what's going on." Astrid agreed flying near to the rocky beach near the base. Hiccup and Astrid stayed flying above as Hiccup jumped off Stormfly opening his flight suit. he rest of the riders followed behind him dismounting their dragons. Hiccup glided down to the roof of the base landing and freezing for a moment to hear any comotion inside. Dead silent Hiccup found a staircase leading inside, going down the steps it was dimly lit by small candles. Looking around hiccup made out a slim shadow sitting at a desk. Hiccup took a deep breath before taking out his fire sword. GG "Ah...Chief *Hiccup*" Grimmel laughed imiating a real hiccup in place of his name. Turning around on his stool Grimmel gave Hiccup a cold smile. GG "So good to see you, did you finally come to your senses and bring me what's mine?" Hiccup chortled quickly before pointing his sword at Grimmel. H "You'll never take him Grimmel, I'll make sure of that."

     While Hiccup talks with Grimmel the rest of the riders were searching the rest of the tower for Grimmel, his men or dragons. Finding nothing the group looks at each other wondering if Grimmel had abandoned his base.

      Grimmel laughs at Hiccups remark before standing up walking over to a window where a pullable chain was hanging. Before Hiccup had any time to react Grimmel pulls the levechain causing a large cage over the entire inside of the tower trapping all the Riders inside.  Their dragons outside of the base were panicking to try and find a way in to save them. All the riders gasped looking around before hearing Grimmels dragons growl at them from the shadows. SJ "Oh no..this is gonna hurt. This is really gonna hurt!"

      GG "I will be taking your dragon, and I'll get rid of anything in my way to do so." Grimmel snapped his fingers signaling his Deathgrippers to begin attacking the riders. Men within a few rooms of the tower also began to run out with war cries. With chains, ropes and Deathgripper dragons The men began fighting with the Riders below. Astrid looked around in a hurry to try and escape. "Climb up the chains!" Astrid yelled to the other riders to at least get away from the men. Astrid and the others began to quickly climb up the chains trying to kick off the men below them. Looking below her Astrid saw a Deathgripper sneaking up on her opening their tail to show the scorpion needle inside. Astrid gasped at the tail coming towards her, jumping to the right to dodge so the Deathgrippers tail stabbed the wall behind the chains instead. Astrid looked over to see the staircase leading to where Hiccup and Grimmel stood. Looking around Astrid took the jump barely grabbing the side of the steps in time.

      Hiccups eyes widened realizing what Grimmel has done. GG "Oh please you didn't think after seeing your little scouts I thought you wouldn't try to attack?" He said rolling his eyes. Hiccup started to run at Grimmel but before he could reach him, Grimmel shot a poisoned arrow at hiccup, stabbing right through his armor into his arm. Hiccup fell to his knees groaning in pain suprised at the fact how strong the tip of the arrow could be to peirce through this arm plates. H "H-How.. is that even possible?" Hiccup reached for the arrow pulling it out throwing it down. Grimmel began to cackle kicking Hiccup down to the floor. GG "Aw, it's too late the posion is already flowing inside of you. Where is the Night Fury!!? Outside with the rest of your worthless dragons?" Hiccup struggled to make it back up to his knees breathing heavily. H "He's not here..you think..I would be stupid enough to bring him right to you?" Astrid was struggling to pull herself onto the steps, looking up into the room she saw Hiccup on the floor with pale blue skin. A "HICCUP!!" Astrid yelled out to him pulling her body the rest of the way up onto the stairs.
