{TIME SKIP/NOVEMBER}

Hasen braided Adrian's hair as he sat on the phone talking to True. The phone was on speaker so Hasen and Adrian could both hear him.

"Well when are you coming back? It's boring at grandma house." Adrian asked and Hasen heard True laugh

"Soon. Darius and Asia still there?" True asked

"Yea Darius mostly. Asia be with them twins." Adrian responded, Hasen finished the last braid on Adrian's hair before closing the grease back up.

She stood up putting the grease and comb back on her dresser.

"True wants to talk to you." Adrian said handing Hasen the phone

"Hello.." Hasen spoke, "You miss me?" True asked making Hasen laugh a lil.

"Mhmm." Hasen hummed.

"Mhmm what? Give me words." True said and Hasen sucked her teeth

"Yes True I miss you." Hasen said smiling,

"That's better." True said making Hasen scrunch her face up

"Don't say it like that. Sound like you ordering me to do something." Hasen said

"I ain't ordering you around you just do what I tell you." True joked but Hasen didn't find nothing funny

"Don't play with me. I'll break up with you." Hasen said and True stopped laughing

"You always go too far." True said

"Oh now you don't wanna laugh." Hasen said and True sucked his teeth

"Aigh, you got that necklace?" True asked changing the subject, he sent her a necklace with his name on it to her last week and it just came yesterday.

It was gold a necklace with his name in cursive writing, Hasen loved gold jewelry because it complimented her skin well.

"Yea. I like it, how'd you know I like gold?" Hasen asked

"I be watching you." True said simply

"Stalker much?" Hasen said and True laughed

"Nah you be stalking me. Half of your photo album is me." True said and Hasen smacked her lips

"No it is not. Don't lie." Hasen said disagreeing with his statement

"I never lie you know that." True said

"I got a surprise for you when I come home." True added and Hasen eyebrows furrowed, she hated surprises and he knew that.

"I hate surprises. You know that. Just tell me." Hasen said sighing

"Nah don't worry about it. That's for me to know and for you to find out." True said simply, Hasen sucked her teeth at him trying to be secretive

"Just give me a hint. Because now I really wanna know." Hasen said making True laugh

"Don't worry about it." True said giving her the same response

"30 seconds" the automated voice spoke.

"Damn, imma call you before the night end, tell my lil brother I love him." True said

"Okay." Hasen responded

The call ended and Hasen sat her phone down on the bed.

"Are you ready to go home?" Hasen asked Adrian who was watching TV
