Their pants echoed in the room as they clung to each other. Their clothes were disarrayed and crinkled, along with their lips being bruised from the recent makeout. They held each other's gaze as they shared an embrace. Jungkook finally averted his eyes as he noticed her crumpled shirt and began buttoning up the few buttons he had undone. He also noticed how her hair was tangled from his playful tugging when he got caught up in the moment. He sifted his hands through her hair, endeavouring to smoothen it out.
Lisa just continued to stare in awe at his face full concentration from trying to tidy her up. Jungkook noticed her gaze and smiled confusedly, "What is it?"
Lisa didn't answer and continued to eye him before she reached out to hold his face and give him a kiss on the cheek. Her lips lingered for a while before moving back to give him a loving smile, "Thanks," she replied appreciatively. She jumped off the desk and swept her hand across her skirt to flatten out the wrinkles before exiting the room.
Jungkook stared at her disappearing silhouette with his fingers grazing the same cheek she kissed. It was hot, and he knew it was probably from blushing like a madman right now.
He left the classroom all giddy and pleased with the fact that he knew Bambam wouldn't bother Lisa anymore. He was so caught up with the thought of Lisa that he didn't notice someone carrying a stack of paper, walking in front of him.
He accidentally collided with them, "Ow, I'm s-so sorry," the other person muttered. He noticed their small figure bending down to collect the many papers that had fallen when they bumped into each other.
The person fumbled, trying to gather all the sheets of paper that she was supposed to deliver to the teachers' room. Just as she was cursing herself for being clumsy, she noticed a lean hand reaching out to help collect the papers. She stopped and whipped her head up to look at the other person.
He had long thick eyelashes and hair that fell over his eyes. His shirt was wrinkled and slightly untidy, with his tie hanging loose on the low collar. Her heart skipped a bit from the perfect view she had of his attractive neck and collarbone.
The person must have sensed her staring because they slightly tilted their head up to unexpectedly make eye contact.
The girl's eyes widened when she realized the identity of the person in front of her. Jeon Jungkook. He was the one, along with his sister, who had helped her out the other day with Ji Eun.
He finished gathering up all the sheets and handed them out to the girl, who was still in awe. He stood up with his hands in his pocket and began walking away.
The girl who was still on the floor hesitated a bit before stuttering, "T-thank you!" She chirped with pink dusting her cheeks. He stopped and turned his head a bit to look at her before only humming in acknowledgment as he continued walking away.
For some reason, the girl stayed paralyzed in her spot with her heart pounding as she stared longingly at his retreating back.
She clutched the fabric of her shirt right above her heart, "What is this feeling?" she whispered to herself.
"Rosé? What are you doing on the ground? Are you alright?" A teacher who was walking by asked in concern.
Rosé looked up as the teacher's eyes widened at the girl's excited eyes and pink face. "I'm fine, Ms. Cl," she said as she quickly handed the stack of papers to the professeur and ran away.
Rosé didn't know what was happening to her. Her heart wouldn't stop beating so erratically. It was odd, but for some reason, she liked the way she was feeling at that moment.
"Is it love?"
Meanwhile, with Bambam:
His shoulders trembled as tears wouldn't stop spilling from his eyes as he gritted his teeth and shut his eyes tightly, hoping to erase the sight of Jungkook kissing Lisa.
"Jungkook~"
The desperate voice of Lisa wanting more of Jungkook irritatingly kept ringing in his ear. He couldn't stand it and punched the locker before him, denting it in the process.
"Why him? Why don't you remember me?" He cried out helplessly.
(Flashback)
"Bammie! What are you doing? Get up!" Little Lisa said, confused at the boy in front of her.
"My dear princess, would you please take this smitten prince's hand in marriage and live happily ever after with me?" The younger Bambam proposed on one knee.
Lisa looked disappointed, "Aww, but I was waiting for a dashing knight to come sweep me off my feet. Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for a Prince instead." She said reluctantly.
Bambam brightened up and took hold of Lisa's hand to put on a candy ring pop as a substitute engagement ring. "Then it's final. No take-backsies." He affirmed.
Just as they were going to continue their game, Mrs. Manoban called them out, "Hey kids, I brought some snacks!"
The two ran jovially towards her, "Aunty! Aunty! Did you know that Lili and I are getting married!" Bambam said with childish enthusiasm.
Mrs. Manoban smiled sweetly at the six-year-old boy in front of her, "Is that so? Then I'm glad to have such a handsome son-in-law like you," she said cheerfully with crescent eyes.
They all laughed happily together. A sight full of joy that Bambam wished to always have. But, he should have realized that even the brightest of times have an end...
The wailing siren of the firetruck engulfed his sense of hearing as he stood by his bawling mother, staring at the burning building consumed by sunset-coloured flames.
'The Manobans' house was on fire. The Manobans were also still in the house.'
That fact had finally struck him as he ran towards the house with tears gushing out his eyes while screaming in agony.
Arms grabbed him and prevented him from going any further, "NO, LISA! LET ME GO! I NEED TO SAVE HER!"
His mother pulled him back as he struggled to be free. "NO! LET ME GO!" He wailed as his mother hugged him tightly in tears. "I need to save Lisa..." he cried into his mother's embrace.
In the end, Prince Charming couldn't save his princess nor have their happy ending.
