04. The Library

I walk to the library. It is 3:45. I get there a few minutes early, but soon enough the girl from earlier walks over.  "Alright, let's go in." I say quietly. We walk in and find a table to sit at.

 "So, you're Karata, right?" I ask. "Katara." She corrects shortly. " So Katara, I have been in this town a while, but you're new, correct?" I ask politely. "Yes,  I just got here a month ago." Perfect. "Want me to give you a tour of the place?" She smiles at me. "Sure." I take her hand and lead her away.

 After about an hour of walking, we decide to get a snack break. We are currently in the world's worst food argument.  "No! I wanna go to the Jasmine Dragon!" I whine. "No, we are going to Wong's Fire Flake Market and that's final." She shot back. I start to walk closer to her. "No... we are going to the Jasmine Dragon, okay love?" I whisper seductively, breathing down her neck. She blushes. She quickly regains her composure, and snaps back.  "No, no, no. We are going to WONG'S." I sigh giving in. "Fine, whatever." I trip and catch her a few times while we walk there.

"That was really fun. Thank you Azula. This was nice," I whisper softly to her. "Shoot. It's really late. This was a lot of fun, and I hope we can be friends." I smile. "Of course. Do you want me to drive you home?" she asks. "Nah I'm ok. Thanks though."

     "Alright, good night, and I will see you tomorrow, by the way... can- can I have your number?" She asks shyly. Why not. "Yeah sure, let me write it down." She gives me a piece of paper to write it down on. I hand it back to her with a smile, and standing on my tiptoes, I lean over and kiss her cheek. "Oop. Sorry. I got my lipstick on your face...ha, sorry..." I apologize sheepishly. "Its ok, really, no problem." She replies back understanding.

I get home with her lipstick on my cheek still, and and an angry Zuko glaring at- Oh! Shoot! Thats why he's angry. Damn, did he like slap her or something? "What. Happened. With. Katara??" He immediately questions me. "I- She kissed me." I state blandly. "SHE WHAT?!" Zuko screeched. Agni, what is wrong with my brother? "Yea she kissed my cheek." I admit "Well did you get her number??"  "Yeah, I Did. And you aren't getting it from me!" I cackle. I run to my room and text her

Spit_Fire💥: Hey I just got home. So hot.

IcyBitch🥶: Just got back too. My dad and brother are asleep. It's really cold at my place. 

IcyBitch🥶: Wyd?

Spit_Fire💥: Heating up some coffee. Hbu?

The pitcher beeps.

IcyBitch🥶: Oh, I'm getting ready to sleep, lol.

Spit_Fire💥: Oh. Wanna have a sleepover next Friday? My other friends were coming already, but I can just let them know and it'll be fine if u want to come.

Someone knocks at my door. "Go away! I'm busy!" "Its just me" Zuko says. "Okay. Im texting Kat if you want to see." He peers over my shoulder.

 IcyBitch🥶: I'll have to ask my dad, and is it okay if i invite a couple other friends? It's just Toph and Aang. 

"Who are they?" He asks. " Kataras friends from her old town." I answer simply. "Cool"

Spit_Fire💥: Sure. And np. Ill see u at school tomorrow.

I send off that text as I shoo my brother out of my room, and fall to my bed. I doze off not long after. 

Soooooo, how was it?? Was it funny? I tried. Have a nice weekend, and happy diwali to anyone who celebrates that!
