The text said to meet him at his place. I trudged up the steps wishing that there was an elevator or at least some hot guy who could carry me. I was dying. I needed to stop smoking! I huffed as I neared the top. The door opened before I reached it. He stood there looking shocked at seeing me.
"Wow, you got here quickly." He muttered more to himself.
"Well I was at the train station when you texted me." I said. He stepped back to open the door that led to the roof.
"I had planned on meeting you downstairs. Sorry you had to walk all the way up here alone." He said watching me.
"Not a problem." I waved walking through the door. I had to brush past his sculpted chest. The feel of his muscles sending a shiver through my body. I felt a tug on my hair.
"I like it." He whispered letting it fall through his fingers.
"Uh, thanks. I have someone who likes to do things with it." I felt my face heat up at how lame that sounded.
"Kinky." Akihiko said as he dropped my hair before slipping around me. I watched his backside as he led me to his hut of an apartment. I looked out over the city.
"This really is a nice view." I muttered. He turned to see where my eyes had gone.
"Yeah, it's nice." He shrugged. He stepped through the door.
As I walked in I saw the recliner set up in front of a small TV. Near the counter by the kitchen was a small table. Was that a violin case? I moved towards it captivated in learning something new about him. I opened the small case. Shocked at the instrument inside. It was beautiful. The wood a satin brown the strings nearly gleamed when the light hit them.
"Do you play?" he asked in my ear. I screamed jumping away. My hand knocked the case. I screamed again, in fear of damaging such a beautiful instrument. His hands were large, they swiftly slapped the case close scooping it up out of danger. I sighed gripping my heart.
"You scared me!" I accused. He smirked around the unlit cigarette in his lips.
"Yeah, couldn't tell." He joked as he set the violin aside. He lit the cigarette pulling out another he moved to me. Slipping the second one between my lips he leaned down. Pressing the two tips together I inhaled to lit the one in my mouth. Damn this was hot! I backed away as soon as mine was smoking.
"Th, thanks!" I muttered. I gestured toward the instrument he had rescued.
"I only play bass. You play that?" I asked. He huffed out some smoke as he leaned against the table.
"Not as well as my ex, but yeah I can play." He looked at me curiously. "You want to hear?" he asked. I nodded. To see behind the curtain of his life! The thought thrilled me! He finished his smoke before washing his hands. This intrigued me.
Carefully he lifted the neck. There was a white cloth under it. He picked this up with delicate fingers. I watched as he placed it on his shoulder. He lowered the body of the instrument there. With his eyes closed, his fingers found the strings. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. The sound that came out of the instrument was... breathtaking.
My knees weakened. I sank to the chair as I gaped at him. He moved his body slightly with the rise and fall of the music. It put me in another world. Never had I heard something so masterful. When the silence surrounded us, I could only stare at him. He lowered the instrument back into its case.
"Akihiko?" I breathed out his name.
"Yeah, I know." He smirked. "I keep messing up the last fingerings space. Ugh it drives me insane. I'm sorry." He chuckled.
