Prologue (Revised)

"Baby...."

Narinig ko ang mahinang boses ni mommy. Agad akong umupo ng maayos, binabantayan ko siya rito sa hospital, she is suffering from breast cancer at hindi ko nakakayang tignan siya na nanghihina kaya hangga't kaya namin ni dad ay pinapagamot namin siya sa mga professional na doctors

"Yes mom?" I asked her without crying dahil onting galaw niya lang ay parang ako rin ang nakakaramdam ng sakit niya, "Can you please call your dad." Suhestisyon niya kaya tumango ako at lumabas ng kwarto.

I saw a man sitting on the couch while looking at his palm.

Parang nagbibilang nalang siya ng daraang buwan sa mukha niyang napalibutan ng sakit at awa, hindi maitanggi sa mukha niya ang pagluluksa dahil sa asawa niya, dahil sa mommy ko

"Dad, mom wants to see you." nanghihina siyang tumayo at parang baliw na tumingin sakin, I just smiled at him para kahit papaano ay mabawasan ko ang sakit na nararamdaman niya, I really admire my dad, I wish someone like him will appear at my future, siya yung tipo ng lalake na alam ang kailangan at gagawin pagdating sakin at mas lalo na kay mommy, ni parang nababsa niya ang isip ni mommy, maingat siya pagdating samin at alam ko na kami ang kahinaan niya, they are just so sweet na sobrang lungkot ko kapag dito magtatapos ang love story nila.

After 1 and a half hours waiting, lumabas sa pintuan si dad at bakas sa mga mata niya ang pag iyak and it totally breaks my heart, agad siyang ngumiti sakin kahit na pilit ito, niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit at bumulong sa akin, "My Mom told me na gusto niya kayong dalawang pumunta sa rooftop."

Napatigil ako at agad tumingin sakaniya, I shouldn't be thinking this things but it makes me shivered to death, tumango ako bago pumasok sa silid ni mommy.

"Anak....." She caught my attention while I am holding her wheelchair and standing at her back, kanina pa nag sisihulugan ang mga luha ko kaya ayaw kong ipakita ito sakaniya, "Are you crying?" She ask me, I know she already knows pero di ko alam kung bakit niya pa ito itinatanong

"Come here." She pointed a stool chair beside her, I walk infront and sit, nakayuko lang ako habang pinagmamasdan ang palad kong basang basa na dahil sa luha ko

"Look at me Mirriam."

I look at her  with my strongest gaze, try not to melt by her eyes pleading, "Mom....Why do you have to live like this? I mean, all over around the world He chooses you to suffer like this." Iniangat niya ang kamay niya papalapit sa aking mukha, pinunasan niya ang luha ko gamit ang malalambot niya kamay atsaka inlagay ang kamay niya sa kamay ko, "Don't blame Him anak, He is the reason why we exist here, and look at the stars." I immediately look at the stars, it forms many constellations and it shines like it is the shiniest thing,

"Remember this things okay?" Humigpit ang hawak niya sa kamay ko at agad ko siyang tinignan,

"Please take care of your daddy okay?" What is she trying to say, I focused my attention at the stars,

"Don't give yourself too many stress and things that won't make you happy..." She starts to cry while smiling at me, how can she do that? "Don't let yourself fall too deep, baka mahirapan kang umahon, and also don't be jealous of Zica, it's his choice to loose someone like you, magakakaroon siya ng maraming regrets sa huli." My Mom is giving me some love advice, expert siya pagadating dito dahil siya ang unang bumasted sa tatay ko.

I miss this.

"And remember that..." I look at her and we both smiled to each other "When someone steps out of your life, he or she is already part of your life, he or she will be one of the stars in the constellations, building up to be your journey until your last breath." I held her hand tighter when i notice that her hands are slowly slipping into mine.

"I Love you Anak." and that was the last conversation I had with her

With my mom.

And that cause me to believe in Constellations.
