" And then what happened?, Jungkook asked bubbling with excitement.

" Then what? As soon as the professor turned around, we sneaked out of the backdoor and got into the first bus that took us to the beach.", I said. The sparkle in his eyes brightened up with every word I said.

" Wow. You guys must have been the cool kids.", Jungkook said sliding down the mirror to sit on the floor.

" Cool kids? Running around to classes in haste, dying to meet deadlines, getting caught by professors during our minimally rebal adventures and losing attendance, having zero time for any kind of love drama, going to the library being our refreshment, finding ultimate joy in throwing a volleyball around in the ground, going crazy trying to remember 1927373892 concepts, procedures and drugs, working like a workaholic. If all this is the definition of cool kids, then yes.", I said laughing.

" Ugh. I wish I could do all of that too.", He sighed leaning his head on the mirror.

" Said no one in their entire life. Anyone would kill to be you.", I pointed out.

" This life isn't as glamorous as it looks."

" You get to do what you love."

" But I also miss out on so many things that I would love to do.", his face fell.

I'd call it basic but he'd call them precious memories that he would treasure for life. He could kill for those minimal things that I didn't think of much back when I was in college which made me realise how I took things for granted. To think that he couldn't enjoy the little things in life despite having access to everything that ever existed made me feel sorry for him. In the process of being a pop star, this kid did sacrifice a lot.

" Hey. Come on, you can still do all of that.", I tried to assure him.

" It's not that easy you know. Even if I somehow make it happen, going to college when I am who I am would be a disaster. People wouldn't dare to get along with me. And even if they do, I would be treated differently.", he said sullenly.

" Not everyone is the same. I am sure there will be people good enough to treat you like a normal person.", I tried to assure him.

" You did. You saw us like normal people but even you were worried to be associated with us.", he said staring at his feet.

" Hey. I did all that for you.", at least that's how it started before I started feeling paranoid about the attention. But I am doing alot better now.

" I don't blame you. It did hurt but I still won't blame you. Change takes time but we got greedy. I know you still love us and I also understand that you need time.", he said patting my head but I couldn't help but feel guilty.

" Anyways. I am too busy with my work to attend college. I can't just stop and give up on everything. I can't do that to the members and the fans. The best I can do is distance education.", he said shrugging his shoulders.

" It's okay. College isn't all parties and sparkles either. It's a rocky road. You have no idea how stressful it is. Physically and emotionally. And the drama? Don't even get me started on it. Distance education sounds so much better.", I said trying to sugarcoat the situation.

" Don't try too hard. It's okay. I am fine.", he said waving it off but anyone could see he was not fine.

" Jungkooka. Practice in 30.", came in KD.

As soon as his eyes met mine, he awkwardly half-bowed to me and averted his gaze. Things were still very awkward between us provided he almost reported me to the police just a few hours ago.
