Just like friends do

" We might not be able to see each other every day.", Jungkook mocked me in a high-pitched voice.

" I will miss you guys so much!", came V with his mockery.

" If that's how I really sound in real life, I will be more than glad.", I retorted as I dug into my fried chicken sitting on the floor of the recreation room.

It has been over a month since I quit the crew and had that emotional roller coaster ride of a farewell with my overwhelming speeches and tear-inducing drama. I was scared I wouldn't be able to meet the boys as often, as I would be working hard but here I am eating with them every single day. They are like an addiction that is hard to let go of.

Honestly, for the first few days, my schedule was hectic. As promised, I worked overtime trying to help Rosie out wherever possible as I didn't deal with customers much because of the language barrier. Every night I'd go home to a deep in sleep Tony lying on the couch and the dinner he prepared for me that had long gone cold. At least Tony and I got to have a quick chat in the mornings before he left but meeting up with the boys became an impossible task. Every day my phone buzzed with uncountable 'Miss you' messages from them.

After a week of failed attempts at meeting up, Jimin, V, and Jungkook decided to take matters into their hand. Like always I had stayed until late at the cafe that day, helping Rosie clean up before closing. As I was cleaning the windows, huge silhouettes barged in through the main door all covered up in black from top to bottom. I was sure it was a robbery and my time to shine and so I raised my broom to beat the shit out of them but as soon as they removed their masks, I dropped the broom. It turned out to be the maknae line.
Rosie almost fainted while I just stood there shocked beyond my wits. But the moment I recovered from the shock, I jumped into their arms, and thats when I realised how much I missed them.

After that, I couldn't help but meet them every day. I made sure to spend my lunch hour with the boys provided the cafe was 5 minutes away from the company. Also, I didn't want the boys to come over to the cafe. I mean, as sweet of a gesture it was, it's too risky for them.

"Though she said she won't be able to meet us as often, she comes here every day. She must not be able to resist me.", said V wiggling his eyebrows to which I just shot a bored look.

" Nope. It must be the free food.", said Jin hyung.

" Now that makes more sense. That's my hyung. You know me the best.", I said swallowing a huge bite of chicken while giving him a hi-fi.

"Divided by nations, united by food.", Jungkook screamed dramatically out of the blue and we all gave him a weird look.

" Anyways... I have got to go. My shift starts in like 20 minutes.", I hurriedly packed my backpack.

" Leave the backpack. You are going to come back anyways.", RM reminded me. I nodded as it made sense and threw my bag into his locker.

" Whoa. Why is she coming here again? And why didn't we know about it?", asked Jungkook.

" She offered to help with the lyrics.", RM casually mentioned and the guys started giggling.

" Oh. So it's a date under the stars again?", Jimin teased and I rolled my eyes at him. Since the time the boys found out about the night we spent on the rooftop in a game of turn the bottle, they haven't stopped teasing us.

" Ohhhhhhhh.", the others started playing along.

" Stop it guys. Hobi is going to be there too.", said RM as J Hope nodded happily.

" Moreover Oppa, If I'd ever date someone, it wouldn't be one of you.", I said as I settled down on the floor in front of Jungkook leaning onto his legs.
