'Crunch!'
Biting the red apple, the (h/c) hair woman walked around the city while gazing at the nearby citizens passing by. minding her own business and going throughout her day, (Y/n) was about to make a turn until she felt a hand on her shoulder.
Making a quick reaction, (Y/n) immediately punched the culprit which earned a familiar groaned from the person.
Gasping and dropping her bitten apple, (Y/n) watched Malik bend down on one knee and held onto his stomach where he was punched. "M-Malik! don't scare me like that!"
Twitching a wary painful smile at the woman, "wasn't trying to, little lady.. but dang you got a strong punch." Malik said as he finally stood up, but still clutch onto his bruised spot.
Smiling at the tall man, "i'm sorry, it's just that my body reacted before i could think. anyways, what are you doing out here? aren't you supposed to hide or something?" looking around, sensing that there's no Sumeru guards around this time.
Malik charmingly chuckled, "if they do find me, then i'll just outrun them. why? are you worried?" teasing a smile at the woman who only showed a blank facial expression. "why do i even bother talking to you at this point."
Following the (h/c) hair woman around, Malik just listen to her talk about random topics while he listens. although he's walking out freely, he's not really worried about being found by the guards. it just adds more thrill in his boring life.
"Tell me more about yourself, little lady," Malik suddenly said as he quickly stole a fruit from the market stand. side glancing at the man beside her, (Y/n) raised a brow, "what would you like to know?"
Smirking devilishly, "tell me about your love life.. especially with that man with crimson eyes."
Widening her own eyes, (Y/n) could feel her heart erratically drop as she knew who he was talking about.
Cyno.
"What about him?" (Y/n) coldly asked as she continued on walking. shrugging his shoulders, "back when we saw him with that woman, you looked like a dejected little lady. so i'm just wondering-"
"Don't you think this is a bit too personal?" (Y/n) interrupted as she finally stopped her movement and now stood in front of Malik. tilting his head, Malik could only blink down at her, "no... why?"

Gaping at his genuine question, (Y/n) could only huffed and walk away once more, making the taller man quickly follow her. if someone were to stare at them, they would've thought that (Y/n) was some high noble lady who can only go out with a personal guard with her.
"Tell me Malik.." (Y/n) started off as she walked to a more secluded area where no one was nearby. "are we friends?"
"I like to think so. why? are we not friends?"
"Well.. we're still trying to get to know each other and all, but i sometimes feel like i don't know you. i had already talked about myself a few times, but you? i still feel like you're a total stranger." (Y/n) stated while gazing off to the beautiful scenery in front of her.
2nd POV
You could feel his presence next to you as silence takes over. after your small confession, you waited for his reply only to get nothing. slowly gazing at the tall man beside you, you could see him thinking for a bit. his own mind drifting off to a deep hole, trying to find a way to reply to your confession earlier.
Sighing softly to yourself, "you don't have to answer back. i understand if you don't want to share right now, just take your time.. only if you're willing to be friends with me."
This caught his attention.
Continuing on, "i understand that we have known each other for a few months, but what you should know is that i don't really socialize with a lot of people. it's not like i'm weird and all, i just prefer having a certain amount of people in my life."
Malik stared at you for a moment until he hummed. "alright, i'll tell you something about me."
Whipping her head at the man, "i-i just said to take your time! you don't have to, you know." Malik only shook his head and replaced his usual smirk into a smile. "i'm going to say three things about me and i want to hear your opinion about it."
"Okay.. tell me about yourself."
"First, i was originally born in Sumeru, but soon ran away to Mondstadt when i was ten due to my mother's sickness. i knew she was going to leave the world soon, so i decided to move to Mondstadt. reason why was because i wanted to explore a new nation. after i ran away, i started living there because i had no family members left, but soon i was lucky enough to find a kind man that had took me in, along with his two sons that seemed to be around the same age as me."
Listening quietly at his words, you let him continue on with his story.
"Unfortunately, the father figure that had taken me in soon died, leaving me and the two sons who i called my brothers broken. although our relationship wasn't the same as before, deep down we still love each other. now second.. i came to Sumeru because i wanted to meet a certain someone."
"A certain someone? if you don't mind me asking, but who did you want to meet?" you simply asked which was then only ignored by the man.
"And lastly, do you believe in the past life, (Y/n)?"
Widening your eyes, you could feel your own heart beat faster as you hear him say your name for the first time. you already knew that you gave Malik your name the first time you two met, but ever since then, he always had called you 'little lady' so hearing your name come out of his mouth felt so new.
Furrowing your brows in confusion, "the past life?" this made Malik smile, "that's right, the past life. where you had already lived in this life, but you then went back in time, hoping to change the future. odd, isn't it?"
No words could come out of your mouth as you stare at Malik. now if someone were to hear him, they would've thought he was crazy, but to you? you somehow got interested in this certain topic.
"How does this relate to you, though?" you asked as you realized this might go off topic from knowing Malik as a person.
Chuckling at the confuse expression you were making, "don't worry about it. you'll learn about it later on, but now? let's just say that the reason why i need to meet this certain someone in Sumeru was because i need to save them from something."
"I see.. well, i hope you can save them before it gets dangerous," you replied, now going back to gazing at the scenery before you.
Not noticing Malik still staring at you, "yeah, i hope i can save them from another heartbreak."
Turning your head at the man, "did you say something, Malik?" earning another deep chuckle, Malik shook his head and just gaze at the scenery before him as well, "nothing...let's just enjoy the scenery, yeah?"
