You despise this. you despise all of this. this dumb wrenching feeling that keeps pulling your heart strings as if your feelings are just puppets in a theater play. the blood in your veins turning cold whenever you imagine his figure turning away from you, to the point he's no longer in front of you.
His back was faced towards you, reaching for something, more like someone else. that someone else wasn't you. not today, not tomorrow, not ever. he will never choose you when she's here. he will always choose her.
If you're going to be honest, you sometimes wish you didn't exist in this lifetime because what's the point of being here when it's so obvious that this life is circling around them. this whole life story is based on their life and love relationship, so what's the point of you being here?
Are you supposed to be some sort of background character that watches the main characters live their life away or are you supposed to be a villain that comes for revenge?
Shaking your head at the thought, you shivered at the idea of being a villain. i mean sure, you were disgustingly jealous, but you had every right to be.
You knew Cyno longer. you knew his likes and dislikes, including his good and bad habits. you even knew his combat style and how he would easily use his weapon on his opponents. so why did he choose a woman that he only knew for a few months?
Staring down at the oasis water, you could see your puffy and swollen eyes that has been squeezing your tears out. the heartbreaking tears that keep escaping your eyes. wiping the remaining wet tears, you could finally feel your own heart calming down once more.
It has been awhile since you last Cyno and the others. although everyone has been busy with their own things, you purposely avoided everyone as you wanted to stay alone for a bit. everyone just shrugged it off, thinking that you needed some time to yourself, but Cyno and Malik? those two immediately knew something was wrong.
"There you are."
Hearing the new familiar voice, you didn't bother looking behind to see who it is. his deep voice was already enough to make your heart pound and break at the same time.
Hearing his bare footsteps walking on the desert sand, Cyno sat down next to you while looking at the oasis as well. the only thing that could be heard was the water swaying due to the desert wind. the trees swishing away as the atmosphere suddenly became clear and heavy.
"It's late, you should know how dangerous it can get during this time," he warned, but behind those words were, 'i'm worried and i don't know what i'll do if something were to happen to you.' of course your painful heart couldn't see the meanings behind those words since your heart is still healing.
