Ava's POV:

We walked inside and everyone shouted
"Woo five, yeah" klaus said as Diego whistle
Everyone clapped as I laughed.

"There he is" Luther said .
"That speech last night! Woah!" Diego said
"Whoa" I muttered
"Brought me to tears you big softly" Lila said and I laughed

"I especially liked when you referred to us as a family bound by destiny and love" victor said as five rolled his eyes

"Ouuu or when you said you found your true love Ava" klaus said bringing his hand to his heart.

Lila went in for a hug but five went passed her "okay enough. It was the booze talking. In the light of the day you're all still deplorable. Expect Ava, she's fine"

I smiled when he looked at me.

"And your day is about to get worse" dad said
"Worser than dying?" I said smiling

"The Norse had seven sleepers"dad started
"Oh for the love of god" I muttered as I went and sat in front of five with my back facing his legs. He put his hand on my hair and start messing with them

"The Blackfoot, seven stars"? Dad continued "as a boy I heard the legend of the seven bells. All these stories are the same. The village is under threat by flood ,by fire , by a night that never ends. A shaman brings his disciples to a sacred cave , he tells then if they can ring the seven magic bells, the village will be saved and all will be restored just as it was."

Everyone was silent.

"Reggie" Lila said bringing her arm up. Dad hummed " can we get a little less Brothers Gramm and a little more " what the hell does this got to do with us"" I laughed

"There is a truth to these myths. None of you can denied what is going on around us. All of existence will be gone by the end of the day." Dad said

"Finally, I was started to get bored" I said. Five grabbed my hair a bit hard making my head fall back to his legs. He shushed me.

"But whoever or whatever wove together space and time they left a way to put things back together, if he universe ever faced total annihilation. There is a portal in the universe. I built this hotel around it and on the other side, is the answer" dad continued

"Bastard" I heard five muttered. I took his hand from my hair and kissed it before interviewing our fingers together.

"And we are supposed to what? Stroll in there, ring some bells and fix this shit?" Luther said
"Sarcasm aside, you're mostly right. Except for the guardian"

"Guardian?"I said
"What kind of guardian?" Victor asked
"A kind of guardian that does this" Diego showed his missing fingers "he had a sword"

"It is a force to be reckoned with" dad said
"See yeah this is where you lose me" Luther said
"This is where he loses you? I checked out at the sacred cave" Lila said
"Sacred cave? I checked out when I stepped a foot in this bullshit you call meeting." I said and Lila laughed

"Why would the builders of this 'back door' need to have a guardian?" Victor said
"Ah! To protect it from people who want to use it for nefarious means" Sloane said
"That is correct Sloane" dad said
"Woah Sloane you get an A" I said sarcastically smiling.

Five lowered his head next to mine
"What's up with you today? What got you all mean and things, cause last time I remember, you my friend had a terrific night, last night." He whispered in my ear

"Fuck off five" I said not wanting someone to hear.
He chuckled and left a kiss on my neck before going back to his previous position.

"So it's gonna take all of us to defeat the thing protecting the bells." Allison said
"You're actually buying his crap?" Five asked
"How is a guardian and any crazier than time travelling briefcases and assassins with cartoons masks" I quietly laughed

"Actually she.. got you there" Luther said . Five just turned his head to look at dad.Ben stood up and went to stand next to dad.

"I'm in"
"Surprise surprise" I said
"Me too" Diego said as he stood up among Lila fall"ow" she said

"But I think some of us should stay back. Like Lila" he said and I titled my head. I went into his mind and I was surprised to see Lila was pregnant.

"Uh... or you can stay and I can go" Lila said
"No, this is much bigger than all of us. Nobody can stay back" Allison said
"Says who?" I said raising an eyebrow as she rolled her eyes.

"You my children are all that stands between us and oblivion. Are we ready to go?" Dad said
"I say we vote" victor said
"This isn't a democracy. Dad calling the shots." Ben said.

I stood up and went in front of ben. "Again. Says who?" I tried to get into bens mind but he pushed me away. We chuckled and went back to five
"I'm with Victor we vote." He said

"The world is ending and you want to count hands?" Dad said.
"Pretty much" I said
"You're asking us to risk our lives. I think it's only fair you give us some time to discuss it" Luther said. Dad stayed still
"Privately" I said and he sighed as he left
"Why don't we meet back here in an hour?"luther said

"Agreed"
"Sure"
"Yeah"
"Whatever"

"Come on" five said . I stand up and we walked away.
