Ava's POV:
We were all in the kitchen laughing about a joke Christopher made. I looked over at Sloane as she handed me a smoothie. I go and sit next to Jayme and Alphonso.
Then we saw Luther coming out with a broom.
"Ahh there he is" Alphonso says
"Please join us"Fei points to a chair next to her.
"It's okay no one is hurt you" Ben says
"Smoothie?" Sloane offers
"Oh yeah thanks" Luther replied
"20 bucks they will make out by the end of the week" I whisper at Jayme as she smiles and shake my hand.
"You must be starving" Fei said as he approached the table
"No I-I shouldn't.. is that cashew butter?" Luther said
"Cashew butter, almond butter, sunflower but
tahini, Brazil nut" Sloane explained as my eyes widened at how many things we have.
"Holy shit. That's a lot of butter" I said as Jayme and Alphonso laughed
"You know, now that you mentioned it, I am feeling a little - uh- peckish"Luther said
"Help yourself" Alphonso said as Luther thanked him and sat next to him.
He started to eat as we all looked at him.
"Here" Jayme said as she gave me a Nutella toast she made for me." You haven't eaten something, so eat" she said as I smiled taking the toast, thanking her.
"So, we know you are number one-" Ben said
"Luther. His name is Luther" I interrupted him as Luther smiled at me. Ben ignored me
"But we haven't formally introduced ourselves. I'm Ben number 2" he continued
"It is so good to see you again buddy" Luther said before eating again
"What does everyone keep looking at me like that?" Ben said turning to look at us as I shrugged.
"Because you have been dead for 15 years" Luther said as I stopped eating to look at him.
"Dead? What do you mean dead?" Ben said slightly raising his voice
"Kinda of a long story" Luther replied
"Anyways" fei changed the subject "I'm fei number three"
"Alphonso cuatro"
"Sloane five, hey"
"I'm Jayme ,six"
Christopher commented at Luther as we all started laughing
"That's Christopher of course, number seven. Oh don't Ming him he is in a bit of a sussy mood" Ben said laughing
Luther laughed with us even tho he was confused. "What about you?" Luther nodded at me.
"Oh I am Ava, number eight" I said with a small smile.
"You look so much better without the blood" he laughed "you know you remind me of five"
"Sloane?" I said confused
"No no no no, our number five, five" he said waving his hand.
"Cool" I said as Jayme laughed quietly
"Wait what about uh- number one" Luther said
"What about him?" Fei said
"Where is he?" Luther asked but flinched when Ben stabbed a knife in the table.
"Dude. The table" I said
"That's what we would like to know" Ben said ignoring me again.
We all stopped eating to look at Luther.
"Are we playing a game?" Luther asked not understanding
"Whatever game the umbrellas are playing , you are going to loose!" Ben said leaning forwards" you took our number one, so we took you"
"Wait we took Marcus? Why would we do that?" Luther said even more confused.
"Act of war, death wish" Jayme said as I nodded my her towards her agreeing with her.
"The last time we saw him he was with your sister" Sloane replied calmly
"Which one?"
"The little one with big powers"
"Vanya" I corrected fei
"Wait Vanya?" Luther said looking at me as I nodded
"Huh ?well I got to say, it does not sound like Vanya to go and kidnap somebody . You know having said that I am usually the last one to know about this kind of things" he said continue eating
"You are their number one . Shouldn't you know everything?" Ben asked confused.
"Well you think so Ben. Discipline has never been our strong suit. It's pretty much free for all there" he said
"So listen, this sound like an easy fix. I will head back , I mean my family is probably worried sick to be honest. Uh, if they have him tho, I will make sure they send him back without a scratch. No harm , no found" he said looking at us "how does that sound ? Good? Great" he went to sit up but Ben pulled him back with his squid things.
"What's the rush? Stick around till Marcus is back"
"My family will come for me" Luther said
"Wonderful in the mean time make yourself at home. Oh and if you try to escaped , feis birds will pick out your eyes and make a nest in your head" Ben said as fei laughed
Soon enough everyone left.
"You coming?" Jayme said as her and Alphonso waited for me.
"You guys wait in the living room I will be there at five" I said and they walked away leaving me Luther and Sloane
Sloane sat up to take her dish to the sink and I looked at Luther.
"Don't go around looking for war. We both know you will not be the winners." I whispered at him
"I don't know anything, I swear" he whispered back .
" I believe you." I said standing up as Sloane approach us.
" oh and hurt Sloane, I will melt your brain till you think that your head is your ass. Got it?" I said as he nod.
"Cool" I said smiling before leaving to find Jayme and Alphonso.
